Kansai-ben? I didn't know you could introduce yourself that way, see I'm learning! Ah hiragana, I learned that last year! Was so proud of my self! This year it's katakana!

And how did you do that with the font???!?!?!?!!?
Kansai-ben is the dialect spoken in western japan =3 the most obvious difference is that 'desu' is replaced with 'ya', therefore 'dattara' becomes 'yattara', I think 'desu ka' is still the same though. Also, 'baka' becomes 'aho', 'chigau' becomes 'chau', its a very interesting dialect! You may recognize some anime characters that speak in kansai-ben. The most notable I can recall are Kero from Card Captor Sakura, Kitsune and Su from Love Hina, Wolfwood from Trigun, Caldina from Rayearth... =3
to use a japanese font, go to the control panel in your settings menu, then go to regional languages and options. Then click on the languages tab, details, and add a keyboard =3 the language bar is your friend 4laugh it also lets you type kanji like this: 私 は アイカチ です。 水 が おいしい です! your basic nonsense sentence =P I am Aikachi. water is delicious. lol
Also... not all servers recognize the font, so if it shows up as a bunch of scribblies, just refresh until it looks like something intelligible blaugh
べんきょ せな あかん。
Benko sena akan.
[I've got to study]
talk to you later, I bookmarked this thread ^^
Wow, I always wondered if there was different dialects, I didn't think there was! Interesting. I would prefere if you spoke "normal" Japanese, might confuse people like me. Lol.

And that explains you saying Aikachi ya. Thought that was a Japanese slang or something, lol....But you were just saying desu in a different dialect. Makes sense now!

I will try out your directions to get hiragana, katakana and kanji.
eee ^^;; its gotten to the point where its easier for me to speak in kansai-ben, can we compromise a little and I'll stick a standard japanese translation in there too? sweatdrop sweatdrop

I guess so...but if you can translate the kansai-ben into "normal" japanese why don't you just speak it? lol. But it's ok!
