Kakunodate

はじめまして、角館（かくのだて）と申します。

現在、アメリカに住んでいますが、去年の８月まで北東北に住んでいた。早く日本へ戻りたいな。。。メロンパン食べたい。 gonk

名前についてなんですが、角館は秋田県にある「小京都」と呼ぶ町です。武家屋敷、４月の花見は有名。　 3nodding

Hi! I was living in Japan until last year and currently do some work as a translator. Nice to meet everyone! xd

Kakunodate, that's a very interesting occupation. I wish I could work on translations, but my J-language skills aren't to that point yet. Melon bread sounds delicious! I take it you like it in Japan better since you said you'd like to return quickly. ^_^ If you don't mind me asking, how long were you out there? ところで、日本語をぺらぺら話しますか。(That might be a really stupid question considering you said you do translations.)

i really dont know how to speak it, i only know a few word like konnichiwa, arigato, otosan, otasan, acabata.(hello, thank u, father, mother, monster) simple things like that. i would to be signed up to this guild.

Acabata? I've never heard of such a word for monster. These are the ones I know of:
化け物 bakemono
怪物 kaibutsu
怪獣 kaijuu
モンスター monsutaa

okaasan お母さん mother
otousan お父さん father
arigatou 有り難う thanks/thank you

I'm very disappointed in the houses....I spent all this money on items and when I got there sort of sucks....theres no purpose to it really...Well I wont be buying anything else for it thats for sure!!!

Today in my Japanese class we learned

kakimasu/kakimasho/Kakimasho ka - draw/let's draw/shall (I) draw
Akemasu/akemasho/akemasho ka - open/let's open/shall (I) open
Shimemasu.....ect. - close
Tsukemasu.....ect. - turn on
Keshimasu.....ect. - turn off
Kopi o shimasu....ect. - make a copy

Kangeikai - Welcome party
Soubetsukai - farewell party

Zehi - I'd like to. (lit. By all means)

We learned more vocab but thats just some to memorize if you haven't yet. 3nodding

Grandfather - Sofu (Ojiisan)
Grandmother - Sobo (Obasan)

Aunt - Oba (Obasan)
Older brother - Ani (Onisan)
Younger brother - Ototo (Ototosan)

Colors

Red - Aka(i)
Blue - Ao(i)

note: add what is in brackets when coming right before noun ex. aoi hon - blue book, pinku no kuruma - pink car, Kono chocho wa kiiro desu - That butterfly is yellow
