Welcome to the Elfs Grotto Charity, the charity that spreads Christmas joy all over Gaia. The ECG, as it is called for short, is a charity which raises funds for the first 11 months of the year. Then in December a big giveaway is held with the idea of giving out presents to all the good people of Gaia. No catches. However there is one little which is there so that we knew people deserve a present, as it is a Christmas giveaway and you have to be good or else you just get a lump of coal. The exact quote that crops up in the big giveaway thread is…

You have to prove you deserve them. I will give them out to special people who bump and post and are generally all round nice.

So welcome one and all, to the main thread for the Elfs Grotto Charity. We hope you will stay for a bit, and when it comes to December visit us at our Giveaway thread.

The Elfs Grotto is basically an evolved form of a Christmas Giveaway. The idea is to raise funds from January to November. Then on November a thread is made which will hold the big giveaway. This year the charity starts of with a nice fun pot as it is, but just as much effort will be put in to raising funds for Christmas 2007.

This is the point where we which to make it clear here that though donations are helpful, and much loved, we are not here to beg and we are happy with making up the funds on our own. If you do wish to donate though, please send a trade to "Elfs-Grotto-Mule" as it is the charity's mule.

As 2006 came to finish and the thread was given a new look, the team did not just want to abandon all the history from the old look, as well as the finished threads. So a copy of all the front pages has been put into an archive thread. This means they are kept simply to remind people of old times and to see how the Elfs Grotto has changed and grown.

Though this may be out main thread we do have some other threads here and there. After all the amount of Christmas spirit around here can not be contained in one thread. Through out the year the amount of links here will change as new things pop up and some threads flames burn out.
