Argh! pirate Hello there, I'm starting a new Towns group called Pirates Of Gaia Online, P.O.G.O. for short. Who are we? What do we do?
We are the Pirates of Gaia Online. pirate
We haven't really done much at the moment, so better question is "What do we hope to do?"
I've noticed a lot of complaints around here ever since Gaia Towns was released, humping, harassment, cybering, many things that are against the Gaia TOS. I want to reduce the number of times people see this around Towns and Gaia itself.
Gaia is should be a place for all ages where everyone and their mother can have some fun. (Yes.. I mean that literally. whee ) I hate having to see this stuff around here. That "grown-up" stuff isn't meant for the many young people that are around here. Sure, Gaia's supposed to attract mainly teenagers, but there's many kids that are around 10 years old that hang out here too.
Now, that being said, what I hope to do is get a group of Gaians to patrol Gaia Towns and help report the people abusing the TOS. We can do this around the forums, casinos, and fishing too, but our main focus will be Towns because there's a bigger problem with cybering there. In addition to this, I'd also like the members of P.O.G.O. to be helpful around the Gaia Towns forum. 3nodding (Not like stalking it or anything, just help people when you know you can help them...)
Yes, I am well aware we already have police around Towns, but to my knowledge, they've been inactive for a while. Actually, we had 2 police forces here, I'd like to aknowlege them. 3nodding First there was the GTPD, they were the first Towns police here. After the GTPD, there was the GTPF led by creek2k (who is now [The Outlaw Grim] and is part of P.O.G.O.). I was a part of the GTPF (on my main account) but to be honest, I really don't think we did much. sweatdrop It was actually somewhat of a roleplay. This leads me to my next topic.
What P.O.G.O isn't.
P.O.G.O is not a roleplay, I don't care if the mafias or gangs start getting popular again or not. I don't want anyone to think of us as their enemy. We are a group of Gaians trying to make our favorite website better by reporting people that don't have enough respect for the admins that they break the rules.
P.O.G.O. is not a job. This is strictly volunteer work, if you join you aren't getting paid for it or anything. You do this because you want to.
P.O.G.O. is not your life. whee This'll sound silly, but I just wanna make it clear. I want dedicated members, but not overly dedicated. Your life shouldn't revolve around this group, please don't obsess. Also, don't feel obligated to go on Towns every day, just patrol around while you do your regular stuff like talk to people and collect game items.
