Welcome to Yoshi's Island! The home of those adorable dino's seen in many Nintendo games. Ever wanted one of your own? Well your in luck, keep reading to find out how you can get your own.

Yoshi's Island is just one of many Islands in Dinosaur Land. Yoshi's Island is inhabited by, well... Yoshi. Yoshi are dragon/dinosaur like friendly creatures. But there have been a lack of eggs lately since the eggs keep getting stolen by Bowser and his little minions. The stork can't care for all the eggs, that's why we need you to keep them safe from harm, and Bowser.

Before you decide on visiting the stork there are a few rules that need to be followed for you to be able to get to care for your very own yoshi egg.

Please read everything
Probably the most important rule. By reading many of your questions might be answered. But if you read everything and you still have a question then by all means fire away, IN THE TREAD.
No PM's
Sorry but Private Messages will be ignored and deleted. Any questions? then ask in the thread.
Orders will be taken in the shop
Please do not PM me for anything shop related. If you want anything extra please post it here in the thread.
Use the order forms provided
The order forms were made a certain way and color so they won't be missed by the stork. People who don't use the form will be ignored.
Pay First
Trades should be sent to me, Super Dragon Yoshi. The stork will not send you your egg until I receive the trade with the right amount. After I accept the trade I will send out a note to the stork so it will send you your egg.
Begin trade with complete amount of gold
Post your order form only when you have the amount necessary for the yoshi egg and/or items at hand. Do not start the trade with less than the eggs asking price because I will cancel it.
Remember to direct link it
Remember to use the specific URL I send you to display your pet. If you do not use the URL you were sent the pet will not grow.
How to save
Right click the pet and hit save picture as... DO NOT PM ME asking me how to save your pet. Check second rule.
I will not host images once your yoshi is grown
Be sure to save your grown yoshi in your own server once you receive it. If not, in time your yoshi will be nothing more than a red ->
Do not edit anything
No changing, editing or removing anything from the images.

I reserve the right to refuse service to you.

By following these simple rules we will have no problems getting your order done.

Yoshi [ ヨッシー, meaning "better", "best" or "happy"] are known for their very long, sticky tongues, the ability to swallow almost anything, even things much larger than the Yoshis themselves. Almost everything they swallow is transformed into [or encased in] an egg, which they have the ability to use as weapons.

Yoshi have three stages, egg, baby yoshi and grown yoshi. First is the egg, the most vulnerable stage in a yoshi's life. The eggs are regularly spotted. The color of the spots usually are the same color of the yoshi inside of it. The second stage is when the yoshi pops out of it's egg, this would be a baby yoshi. Don't let their small size fool you, baby yoshi tend to eat more than a grown yoshi does! They can't really see very well yet and have difficulty walking, but as long as they have a good keeper with them they will be fine during this stage and make it to their third and last stage, the full grown yoshi.

Yoshis prefer fruit, although they can [and usually will] eat other things -- including living creatures. Their noses, taking up half of their heads, can detect fruit buried underground and other strange secrets. Even though they have teeth, they are rarely seen or used.

While green is the standard color for Yoshi, his brethren appear with many different skin colors, including blue, red, yellow, brown, orange, pink, purple, azure, turquoise, dark blue, silver, bronze and, more rarely, black and white. Yoshis have a limited social structure, living in villages with a few wooden constructions. Yoshis inhabit many areas of the world from the Mushroom Kingdom to Isle Delfino.

Yoshis also fear Piranha plants, as they grow on Yoshi's island and snack on the Yoshi population. While Yoshi's fear piranha plants, they tend to be smart enough to avoid them, or even destroy them with eggs. It is strange to note that Piranha plants tend to just grow on Yoshi's Island, but live in pipes elsewhere.

One issue surrounding Yoshi is the question of the creature's gender. All of them seem to be able to create eggs, but their eggs appear to be used as projectiles as often as — if not more often than — a means of reproduction. This has left people wondering about the gender of the stretchy-tongued dinosaur. The NTSC versions of Super Smash Bros. Melee attempts to clarify this; If the text is set to Japanese, the description of Yoshi's Trophy translates that "is neither male nor female" (オスでもメスでもない). However, this is censored out of the English text, as well as the subsequent PAL version's additional languages. This would make the Yoshi species asexual, with "he" being used for more respect rather than "it". Thus, the controversy about Yoshi's gender is ultimately put to rest. As this info was only available in Japanese, some fans are unaware or refuse to acknowledge Yoshi as asexual

Your pet comes with two displays to choose from. The regular version, that's way to big for my taste, and the pixel version, which is much smaller.

THE REGULAR DISPLAY

The regular display is about 500x500. If you plan on placing your pet in the regular display in your signature make sure you don't have any other images there, what with Gaia regulations and all.

1. This is the pet area. He will appear here along with any item acquired by his keeper.

2. This is the shop tittle, the Nintendo copyright, and the artist's name. Like the rules say, you can't edit the image in any way, especially this area.

3. Here is where the pet's information will be. The pet's name, his keeper's name and his date of arrival.

4. This is the pet's inventory. All the items acquired in the shop or through role playing will be placed here. Only Baby Yoshi can acquire items through role playing though.

THE PIXEL DISPLAY

Although the pixel display is much smaller, doesn't have the pet's information, or show it's items, it's much more signature friendly. To see the actual pet all you would have to do is click the image.

But it's not all bad, at least you can see the pets current stage. The stages that the pet hasn't reached yet are just outlined, while the one it is currently in will be colored. The stages that the pet has passed will be faded.

For a yoshi to be able to care for a egg of their own they need to be fully grown, and with another yoshi, they need to go to The Super Happy Tree to find the elusive heart shaped fruit that grows there. Once the two yoshi find the fruit, and share it, they need to give the seed to the stork. After that all the yoshi can do is wait. In time the stork will deliver the egg to it's rightful keeper.

The Super Happy Tree currently has 2 Heart Fruit.

The Stork lives in Nimbus Land, a mythical weather kingdom, also home to the mystical Nimbus monarchs who can control the weather. The only way to travel to Nimbus Land is with the help of a White Shy Guy. Not all Shy Guy's work for evil you know.

Once you spot a White Shy guy in the thread, click it and begin the trade with the Shy Guy, writing down in the trade subject the name of the one or two yoshi parents and the number of the page you found the Shy Guy. If you give him the right amount of gold he will fly you over to the Stork.

White Shy Guys usually ask for 3.000g to fly you to Nimbus Land. If it's two yoshi's they should spilt the gold to equal 3.000g. [1500+1500=3000]

2 White Shy Guys have been spotted around the island.

Events are very rare since The Super Happy Tree seems to not give heart shape fruit as much as it used to. But when events do occur make sure to stick around the thread to see if you can participate in one. Users are only permitted to keep one yoshi at a time.
You can participate in the Auction and Flatsale. But if you participate in the flatsale and auction and win both you can only have one. As long as you own a yoshi that is still growing you cannot get a new one. If you need a time converter to check what time would the next flatsale or auction will be for you click here. My time zone is under America/Puerto Rico.

FLATSALES

Flatsales will be announced here, running for about 24 hours to give others a chance. Usually there will be two eggs up for sale, and they will be displayed here.

The Flatsales rely completely on luck so keep an eye on the thread, because as soon as you see that the flatsale is open that's when you should post the number of the egg you want and with that post use the action of generating a random number from 1 to 100. You get one try per egg. The highest number at the end of the flatsale wins the egg. The winners will be posted here.

Winners should fill out the yoshi form and begin their trade as soon as they can. The eggs are 3.000g each. If there is nothing missing the trade will be accepted and the stork should be on his way soon.

TRIVIA GAME

You can get a chance to acquire a regular green egg by answering this question correctly. The egg isn't for free, you still have to pay the 3.000g, but if you weren't very lucky in the flatsale and didn't cut it in the auction this might be your last chance! Answer: His trademark moves are the swallow (originally seen in Super Mario World), and the ground pound (first seen in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island). His upward special move is the egg throw. His "egg-rolling" move was introduced in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

THE PROCESS
There's a very simple and easy process to follow. If you want your egg without any fuss make sure to follow it.

As soon as you know that you won your egg post the Yoshi/Egg Information Form provided bellow. After your done posting that here you should start the trade right away. Yoshi won't accept the trade until your egg/yoshi are done. Once they are done they will be sent to you via PM with the necessary code to watch him grow.

Make sure to remove all the info in between the brackets and replace it with your information. Filter is a option for the art of your yoshi. The default is with the filter on, but you can choose to turn it off if you wish.

The Grey List
You did something wrong, but wasn't enough to make Madisson see red. As long as you admit that what you did was wrong and apologize in the thread, she will remove you.

The Black List
You are stained for life. You did something so maniacally wrong, there is no way you're getting off this list. I wouldn't stand 100 feet from Madisson, I'd think that's to close if I were in this list.

Yoshi and mostly all of the content in the banners, link and tittles are property of Nintendo of America Inc.

Most of all the things sold here were inspired by the game Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Wold 2 in particular.
The game was released on October 01, 1995.

Yoshi info provided by Wikipedia and YoshiArt.com.

The pets sold in this store, though inspired by the Nintendo games were drawn by me. These are not copies and were not eye balled! I spent many hours and hard work infont of the computer screen creating these.
