Ever felt lost when people start throwing around Japanese on the internet?
Ever thought it would be really, really cool to have something like your name written in Japanese?
Irasshaimase! Welcome to Onegaishimasu Translation Services, your one-stop shop for all things Japanese.
I have been studying Japanese for four years now, and it has been my passion ever since Pokémon was new. I guarantee that you won't get some half-assed translation out of Babelfish; whatever you pay to get translated will be translated by a real, live Japanese speaker.
One reason I'm offering this service is because a lot of people (who I've found, at least) that claim to know Japanese don't know much beyond 'Anata wa baka desu'. That makes me die inside, and since I have the power, I decided that I was going to use that power for good and change what I saw.
The other reason is, because of my school's schedule, I finished Japanese last year, my Junior year. I have to do something to keep my skills sharp, so I won't embarrass myself when I go off to take language placement exams in college. ^^-

2. Don't be rude. There's no need for it.
3. Please don't ask to be a translator; I rather like working on my own, thank you.
4. Any attempts to outwit the owner and/or attempts to appear to know more Japanese than the owner will be duly ignored and/or mocked in private. Unless you, too, have been studying Japanese in a structured environment for 4 or more years, you probably don't know as much Japanese as I do, and if you have, what do you have to prove? (Besides, if you have studied longer than I have, then I would prefer we stay civil; I'm always looking for new people to talk to. ^^)
5. Please understand that I have the final say on what gets translated. I will probably not make a scanslation for you, since odds are if you wait long enough, the manga in question will get licensed in America for sale, not to mention that if you simply rip scans off the internet, you are in no way supporting the artist who created the work. (Also, scanslations take a very VERY long time, and often the text of the scan is too small to read. I have been working on a scanslation of a doujinshi, and though it's only around 20 pages long, it is nowhere near completion.)
Prices vary depending on the translation job, are negotiable, and item donations are perfectly acceptable alternatives!
Names: 50-75g (Depending on Length)
Graphic of your name (Gif, colors of your choice): Additional 25g
Example:
Short Phrase (one sentence): 150-200g (Depending on Length and complexity)
Graphic of your short phrase: Additional 50g
Example:
Long Phrase (two-five sentences): 300-750g (Depending on Length and complexity)
Graphic of your long phrase: Additional 150g
Example:
Beyond Long Phrase, Long-term translation jobs: Price on request*
Also offered are 'Simple' translations and 'Detailed' translations.
Example: If someone uses a term you are unfamiliar with (eg. 'Kimi') and you want to know what it means, then simply request the meaning of 'kimi' for a 'simple' translation of the word.
Simple translations (Japanese to English and English to Japanese) are a courtesy service of Onegaishimasu, and are thus offered free of charge, so ask away! ^^
'Detailed' translations go deeper.
A detailed translation, for a cost of 50-200g, will purchase a detailed definition of the word, including the Kanji (if applicable), alternate readings of said Kanji, the Hiragana and Katakana for the word, the definition, and use of the word in a sentence.
Detailed translations:
1 Kanji/No Kanji: 50-75g
2 Kanji: 80-100g, depending on number of readings and meanings
3 Kanji: 120-150g, depending on number of readings, meanings and complexity of the kanji
4 Kanji: 175-200g
More than 4 Kanji: Upon Request

As with all our prices at Onegaishimasu, these numbers are negotiable. (If, for example, you only want the Kanji and not such a complex definition, that is certainly workable.) Feel free to ask. ^^
Lessons in Japanese (intermediate; I don't have the materials to teach beginner's Japanese) are available on request*, and prices will be negotiated with the individual who requests them.
