<center> A note about our mission

We plan to take a playful stab at flamers. We want to debunk the negativity that comes along with flaming. The best way to do this, we feel, is to play the role of the Trickster, Jester, or in this case, Bumbling Pirate. The Role of the Pirate is two-fold:

*Defend the right not-to-be-flamed.
*Keep arguments at a comfortable level, ie, make a joke, difuse the situation, spill some grog. Whatever it takes.

I will be adding more to this Mission Statement soon.

A note about naming

A pirate can't loot and pillage properly with a name like Snugglebunny76 or Sunshine8

That being established, if you want to join the plight to stamp out flaming on Gaia (and get to the fun bits, like setting fire to villages and stealing fruit) you've got to have a proper name!

So!

This here post exists for the sole purpose of crying out your newfound love for the sea and all things Pirate. The first step in your long journey...... your PAF alias!

You can chose to pick your own name, or have one appointed to you.

Well, I'm in, obviously. The flaming must stop.

At The Spicy Headhunters request, I'm going to edit this post when I think of good names for pirates.

Like, diagonal John. And if anyone asks, we act like it's normal, like "well, that's his name, innit?" or "well, what would YOU call him/her?"

Another one, for a counterpart to my pirate character, could be "Tony that we don't trust around pointy objects". If it's not too much of an inconvenience, we only ever refer to them by their full name, and correct people or act confused if they just say "Tony". If to IS too much of an inconvenience, we use the acronym TTWDTAPO.

That's what the cannon can be useful for. Recruitment at gun point. We ARE pirates, after all.
