Firstly, welcome to Makeshift Wings 2.0. Yes, 2.0; for those of you unaware, there was a first Makeshift Wings charity run eons ago (well, more like half a year, but it seems like forever!) by a team of 5 users who just plain loved to give. Unfortunately, things happened, and the charity died, but now a couple of them are back to rebuild their old home.

This, as you may have guessed by now, is a charity. We are fully aware of how difficult it is to earn gold for all those awesome items out there, and so we're here to help. However, if you do wish to obtain our help, please be sure to read the rules carefully.

Oh my! We have an event xd ! Not a charity, but an art contest in which their are 400k in prizes, in the future possibly more. Don't worry though, I still have enoug to run the MKW. I made sure not to use it all up on this - for those of you who arn't art freaks. heart

1. This one's fairly straightforward; read all the rules, as well as the guidelines in the FAQ, and follow them.

2. Please don't bump often. It's spam, and we don't like spam here. You're more than welcome to talk with us, or anyone else here, though. A bump an hour or longer is good^^. We don't want pages lost.

3. If you do decide to stick around and chat, please be careful with the quotes. Considering we have to review the thread to see if anyone has applied for donations, we'd like to keep the thread as clean as possible, without excessively long chains of quotes.

4. Please be respectful. We want to keep this charity a friendly environment for all. Even if a disrespectful n00b comes in here and begs, it is not your place to flame them.

5.Do NOT PM us with requests for help! Follow the guidelines in the FAQ for information about how to apply for a donation.

6.Gracie doesn't like people stalking her, and begging for gold. If you do so, she will chop off your head.

I've already read the rules, but how do I apply?
First, make sure you also read the rest of the FAQ to know exactly what you need to be qualified. Then, simply fill out this form and post it in the thread. You only need to post it once, so do not post it over and over. We make sure to read through them all.

What do I need to have to qualify for a donation?
Sometimes, people aren't very dedicated to their quests. They simply make a thread and expect others to do all the work for them. We don't like to see that, so you'll have to have at least 20 pages on your quest thread to show that you're dedicated to fulfilling your quest.
Keep in mind, though, that there are certain situations where we may choose not to donate even if you have 20 pages. One example would be if you are questing for a very expensive item and aren't anywhere near getting it. We do expect questers to have a certain portion of their quest completed before they start questing; something to show that they're trying, and willing to do it themselves if they have to.

EDIT: I've been seeing more and more quest threads where people have just slapped together a bajillion of their favourite items and expect others to donate to them to get them all. Quite frankly, I think it's excessive, and you're not very likely to get any help. If you're questing for a few store items to complete your avatar or something, it's fine, but don't be surprised if you're turned down for a donation if you're questing for a ton of items.

In order to qualify you must be applicable to all of the following:
*Must have more then 800 posts.
*Been on Gaia for longer then a Month.
* More then 20 pages to your quest thread.
A decent sum already towards your item to show you are willing to work hard.

* When asked what Kenshin and Gracie's favorite band is, reply with "Nightwish"

Can I Request a donation for somebody else?
Yes, just send a request in their place just as they would on their own. Make sure that they qualify. Also if we find out you are a mule you will automatically be blacklisted. We do not like cheaters.

How go I donate to the charity?
Just Sernd a Trade to strawberry lube, or the mkw2.0 Account. I advise sending it to Strawberry - since I am on the account more often.


::General Questions::


Can I use the wings graphics for my sig/thread?
No, all the graphics were made by Fall From Grace, and her biggest pet peeve is when people take her art. Please do not use it without permission. If you truly want them, talk to Gracie and she might make you something similar. That is, if you ask nicely and she's in a good mood.

What if I use them Anyways?
Simple, Gracie will report you, art theft is wrong.

What is the monthly contest?
Each month their will be some sort of contest in which either gold or an item will be given out, more information will be found in the contest section. Feel free to check it out, it is a good and easy way of gaining gold!

Why didn't you give me as much gold as you gave _____!!
Please don't whine about the amount of gold we give you. Remember, this is a charity, we DONT have to give you anything. The amount we give you depends on the item you are going for, and how much we tend to have at the time. We have to be fair.

Short Bio: So you want to know about me, the infamous Rayne. Well sorry to say, my story is a short one. I grew up in the town of Parkland, on the outskirts of Tacoma Washington. My child hood passed quickly like any other Childs, constantly on the run from Minotaurs for calling them walking coat racks, or saying I could speak there language with a simple "Moo!". At the age 13 I knew it was time for my grand pilgrimage. So packing my small but ample bag with a few of my essential adventuring equipment: A ball of lint, my holy chicken bone, 3 rubber bands, a shiny button, a rock, a dohigger, and a silver spoon in which to turn ghost and banish zombies, I head out on my grand adventure.

Needless to say, the first two years of my pilgrimage went by uneventful until the day I met a wandering dark wizard. After a few verbal taunts and asking if he did birthday parties, I once again found my self on the run. To this day I still am not sure if that wizard is after me, or the mage that had taken my "You call yourself a mage, you can't even cast a fishing line", to heart, even though it was a innocent comment.

My journey, uneventful as it is, is slowly drawing to an end now. I only hope that the creature I called a cross between a gully dwarf and a hob-goblin, never finds me, for I fear, he really does smell of elderberry. Hyrulian Princess Although I don't realy know her, she is a very very kind hearted person. My Sis was having a very hard time and Hyrul stepped in and for the most part calmed her down - and act that not many people would do.
