Welcome to the Tall Tales contest thread. This contest is for the right to become the Author of a Tall Tale to be drawn and colored Syrie. You can visit the Stationery Store for more details about Tall Tales.

Procedure:
First and foremost, be sure to read the rules. Second fill out the form provided, and reply to just one prompt. Post your entries in the thread, do not PM them. This contest will focus heavily on your concept, although your response can easily make or break you.

The Form

Name: The name of your Tale
Author: It can be your username or one of your original characters, or even another humanoid breedable 'pet' (please specify)
Gender: Male, Female, both or unknown (please explain if one of the latter two)
Personality: Is your Tale a sweetie or a total brat? Psychotic? Melodramatic? A wimp? A spineless push-over? Whatever personality quirks goes here. You can even have it go by stages of growth
Appearance: Please be as detailed as you can, image references are muchly appreciated

Question: (Must begin with a "Who, What, Why or How" wink The Question for your Tale
Answer: (You can even answer with another question) The Answer to The Question for your Tale
Concept: A detailed explanation of your Question and Answer. The more detailed it is, the better

Response: The response to the prompt you've chosen, it may be as long or as short as you want, but it must be done formally

Prompt 1

After what seems like ages of begging, you finally allowed your Tale to hold an unchaperoned party. Of course, something goes majorly wrong. Write out what happens at the party and how your Tale handles the situation. You may even bring in existing Tales into the response so long as you have permission from the original Guardians/Authors.

Prompt 2

There's going to be a huge party tonight, and everyone is going to the party except your Tale. And it's not because you didn't give him/her your consent. Whoever is throwing the party didn't invite your Tale. Write out what your Tale will do in this situation and whether or not the lack of invitation was an accident or justifiable. Again, you may even bring in existing Tales into the response so long as you have permission from the original Guardians/Authors.

Prompt 3

Your Tale is going to a really important party/social gala and he/she has a date! But from the moment your Tale's date arrives to the time they reach the party, to the time they go home, things keep going wrong. Write out what happens, and how your Tale reacts and handles these mishaps, and whether or not he/she caused these series of unfortunate events.

The Rules
1.) The winner of this contest must pay 20k for the Tale.
2.) Do not discourage, threaten, or make others feel guilty for trying out. The same goes for being rude, mean or bitchy if you lose.
3.) Send all trades to the mule account, any trades sent to Huni Pi or Syrie will be considered as a donation.
4.) Include the phrase "Tell me a story" in your entry. This is just to see if you read the rules n.n
5.) Once the time is up, NO MORE EDITING!

Questions & Answers

Q: What do I do if I don't have 20k in pure gold?
A: You can pay in donation items (valued at Mid-GEN) or we can work out a payment plan. n.n

Q: What's the difference between "Question" and "Prompt"
A: The "Question" is part of the concept of your Tale, the "prompt" is what you respond to during the contest.

Q: What do you mean by concept?
A: The Concept is the most important aspect, it is essentially what your Tall Tale is all about. Your Question and Answer revolves around your concept.

Q: Can we show our entries to other people?
A: Yes, you can have it proofed or edited by anyone except Huni Pi and Syrie

Q: Can we edit our entries after we've posted it?
A: Yes, you can change and edit your entries up until the deadline. Once the contest has been declared "closed" you must stop editing or else you will be disqualified.

Q: How many entries can we make?
A: Just ONE.

More will be added if necessary.

Things to consider:
1.) Originality - How well does your concept stand out from not just the competition but from the already existing Tales? For example we already have a Pirate Tale (Captain Tybalt), and if yours is a pirate as well what makes yours different?
2.) RP Potential - How interesting will an RP session be with your Tale? How about a solo RP? Or in a group setting? Will your Tale involve future plots or story arcs?
3.) Coherence - (Okay, so I may be using the wrong word but I just like how it sounds, bear with me) Does your response to the prompt make sense when compared to your concept? Is your concept so complicated that it will take several readings before it is understood? Are these details really important or did you just put them in for shock value?
4.) Bonus - This is just extra work for you and me XD This is completely optional, but you get 'bonus' points if you PM a semi-risque Yuri-themed snippet/scene to the Linneas Pi account.
