Breeding is OVER!

Ariane had been very excited about Sirpa's date, and was now drapped across her own couch slightly discouraged that nothing exciting was happening in her own life.

Adian had been in his living room, and although he didn't understand the girls when they were jabbering away, he could tell at the moment Ariane was not feeling herself. So he poked his head into her living room, not wanting to intrude. "Um... are you okay?"

She sighed, "I guess..."

Adian had a feeling he'd have to press a little more. "How about's we go outside for a bit?"

"I dunno..." Ariane was feeling a bit more than apathetic.

Adian had no idea if he should keep pressing it, or just let her feel down. And then an idea struck him - maybe she wanted to go on a picnic like Sirpa, and was feeling left behind!

The poor boy hadn't exactly realized what kind of picnic Sirpa had gone on...

However, he put his plan into action anyway, and scooted off to the kitchen, and packed a picnic lunch for the two of them.

He then went back and popped his head in again.

Ariane had changed positions, and looked even more bored this time, as half of her was on the floor, and half of her was on the couch. And the half of her on the floor was her head...

"Um... I hope I'm not interupting anything..."

She flipped around, so she was right-side-up again. "No... not at all..." The words were strung with long pauses of boredom.

"Well, I thought since Sirpa got to go on a picnic, perhaps we should have one our out own..."

Ariane raised an eyebrow...

...which made Adian rather nervous. "Well, I didn't really meant to plan without you, but I thought it would be nice, so I packed us a picnic lunch already..."

Ariane hopped up, "Not to sound ungrateful, because it's a wonderful idea. But... I didn't know you thought of me that way!"

Adian was darn confused. "What way?"

"Well, silly, Sirpa and Squishy are on a date!"

"Oh... well... um..." He wasn't entirely sure he thought of her that way, but he wasn't totally unsure that he didn't think of her that way, either. "Does that mean we can't have a picnic then?"

"No! It doesn't mean that at all... I'd love to go on a picnic with you!"

Adian felt much better now, "Wonderful! Well, I'm ready when you are... It's already packed and all..."

"Aww, that's so lovely of you, let's go right away!"

And so, the two left a note for Sirpa, in case she got back before them, and headed off to have their own picnic. heart
As the two headed towards the forest for their picnic Adian wrestled with the idea of this being a date. Finally he spoke up, "Ariane, would you mind if this was a date? I mean..." He wasn't really sure what he did mean.

Luckily, Ariane wasn't about to let him make a fool of himself quite yet. "I'd adore that..." She said, watching relief spread across his face. "I've actually fancied you for a bit now..." She blushed.

"Realy!?!" He was having a little trouble keeping back his surprise, He didn't really know what to say in response, "I've really admired you since we were very little." That sounded better than he had even thought it would!
Ariane blushed so deeply, her hat fell into her eyes.

"Aww... don't run away" Adian said, as he reached over, and settled the hat right again. "You're too pretty to hide your face..."

Ariane was rather sure she was going to melt into a sappy pile of pem goo. She didn't even know what to say in response.
After a long bit of awkward silence, Ariane started conversation of trival things. The weather, how wonderful it was for a picnic, how surprised she was that they had everything they needed in the fridge... She also wondered how Sirpa was doing. But that she didn't bring up.

Adian enjoyed the chatter a lot, and was learning more and more about Ariane and the conversation veered to her childhood, hopes and dreams...
as you can tell i got, well, really bored talking to myself. so joey offered to help me out over IM

Joey as Ariane is Green Myself as Adian is Orange 3nodding

After they two had successfully picked through the picnic lunch and the conversation began to wane, Adian had an idea. "Have you ever really spent time in this forest?"

Ariane shook her head. "Not really. I don't like to go in there unless someone is with me, " she answered honestly. Her cheeks tinged pink.

"Yeah... I dunno... something about it does seem a little creepy to even me. It's pretty here tho..."

"Yes because you never know what's in there. I have to agree; it's so beautiful here." Ariane said looking around.

aidan laughed, "you picked the spot!" he then layed down on the ground, "so what do people do on picnics?"

Ariane just shrugged. "I dunno. I've never been on one before except for now."

"i see..." he began humming to himself for lacking of any idea what to do

"Whatcha humming?" She asked. It sounded familiar but she wasn't sure. "I think I have heard it before."

"Irish National Theme, of course..." he laughed a little

She laughed along with him. "That's why. My dad is from Ireland. I forgot to tell you before." They had so much in common, it seemed.

he sat up, pleasantly surprised. "really? that's awesome! i knew your mum was English from that one time she called for you..."

"Yeah. I like being part-Irish although I don't really have the Irish accent." Arian admitted. "How long did you grow up there?"

"most of my life... really until my parents died..."

Ariane gasped before she could stop. "What happened to them?" She asked. That was horrible.

"oh..." he blushed, he didn't mean to bring it up so causually. "they were out fishing, and a big storm came, and they drowned. i was, like, 17, i think..."

"That is still horrible." She saw he was blushing and it made her blush. They were so awkward around each other now, although they were living in teh same house...

"don't worry about it. it helped me grow a lot. and they're not really gone. everytime i see the sea, i know they're right there for me..."

Ariane's back filled with chill bumps. "Yeah because you had to be on your own. I never really had to do that much." Ariane blushed a deeper crimson. "I am not trying to brag," She said quietly

"no, no, it's fine. but it's really great to hav the three of us living together - ya know? we all really get along well..."

Ariane nodded. She didn't know what else to say.

"i'm just sometimes afraid you compare yourself to Sirpa too much..."

"What do you mean?" Ariane felt suddenly embarrassed. "She is just kind of my idol."

"but by doing that, i'm not sure you're realizing your own full potential. you're just as good as she is! and personally... a little cuter" he winked at her
