Echo, being a deity, is a woman of many names, names mostly given by those who worshiped her in the past. The name Echo in itself refers to the phenomenon of course. The Voice of the Countless and Celestial Harmonies on the Wind are among the other names she's been given.____{ Basic Information }

Abilities» Echo has an innate knowledge of all the instruments she created, but her biggest ability is her voice. She can manipulate it in many ways, and her songs can either entice or deafen/destabilize. The most common effect of her voice is stunning, but she is also able to slightly influence the mood of those who as listening.
____{ Personality }
Echo is mostly kind, gentle, protective, and motherly in her actions - she only wishes the best to anyone, mortal or deities alike, and will be friendly unless given a reason to be otherwise. The merging with her host has created another facet of her - a bit of micheviousness and impulsiveness that surface every now and then, and she has no issues with using trickery to make other accept what the thinks they deserve. She is definitively emotional, and more in tune with her heart than her mind. She lives everything deeply, to it's fullest - good things and bad things alike, while doing her best to keep up something akin to a facade, refusing to let others see the least pleasant side of her... when she can restrain it. It does take a lot to anger her, but like everything, her anger is deep and overall very noisy. Her willingness to forgive and forget afterward depends greatly on the events and people included.
She likes to talk, to listen, and to play - even in her sleep, her wings gives off a distinct hum. Echo is also very tolerant to things others would not, and does her best to keep an open mind - making her completely, genuinely angry, is something hard to do indeed. She can also be quite a bit clueless, or naive - mostly when it comes to noticing exactly why people tend to like her so much, or of her own personal inner strength and determination, at times. Pleasant as she can be, the goddess does possess a streak of vanity and can be pouty and even go as far as throw temper tantrums if things don't go her way - fact that she does her best to keep hidden from the world at large. To those who take a keen attention to detail, however, she is a completely open book, as her physical language tend to betray her inner feelings rather than what she would prefer to see surface.
She has been slowly growing more determined, more confident in herself and her station and abilities. She does have moments of self-doubt, and moments of insecurity that refuse to leave her completely - expecially when things go extremely wrong, but nothing compared to what she had been before a set of recent events, including her own growth, that basically forced her to become stronger. She has a bit of a deep rooted fear of being abandoned - by either followers or other deities - if they saw the more negative facets of her own self.
____{ Physical Attributes }
Echo is relatively shorter than most - standing at about 5'4" after her growth to youth - and has a definitively womanly build - one she is now a bit less shy to show off. She tends to pull her hairs up in a loop when she is moving about for day-to-day life, but when left down it reaches down to her hips, with the purple parts shifting a bit depending on how light hits it. Her lips are naturally purple, and her ears are very long and pointed - and also mobile. It can be rather easy to read her non-verbal body language thanks to both her ears and the golden strings that trail behind her, that reacts and move as if they where a tail. Echo tends to carry herself with a bit of natural elegance - she is graceful and precise in her movements, even when she doesn't consciously decides to be so. Echo almost always wear dresses or skirts, unless she knows ahead of time it would be impractical, and is quite partial to oriental style, designs, and fabrics - wide, kimono-like sleeves, loose dresses and silk are favorites. As far as colors go, she seems to favor mostly blues, reds and white. She wears black, sometimes, but it is rarely the main color of her outfits.

Zero was a 15 years old teenager from an alternate earth/future, where technology bloomed instead of magic. In despite her young age, she was a very talented and smart young woman, but none of her knowledge could prepare her for being called by Echo. She found herself in Gaia with no mean howsoever to go home, not without having more more money than she could ever have, anyway. She was your typical teenager - unsure of herself, yet with an heart of gold and still a bit michevious - adapting to a new setting all of sudden was very hard for her, since it meant she had lost everything she's had.
In despise it all, Zero was a willing host all the way through, and while she sometimes feared at the future would bring, she never truly regretted her decision, and she eventually grew to see Echo as the mother she never truly had, long before it was revealed in her last moments. At first she remained a separate entity, but Echo was too weak due to being newly reborn, along with Age of Destruction, to keep her from drifting. In the end, Zero chose to merge over what looked like certain "death".

[1] This guitar belonged to Zero, but Echo keeps it, both for playing, and sentimental value. It was one of the few things what Tempo was able to salvage from her house, but the strings have broken due to decay. [2] The flute is the first instrument Echo acquired after her merging, and is precious to her. It has remained safe mostly because she had taken it with her to Wellhaven.

[3] The violin was aquired at the Dark Side of The Moon festival by an artisan that showcased his work there. It has been taken out of the house before it could collapse, but, like the guitar, the strings have broken - through the wood, so far, seems to hold, even if it is a bit weaker in places.

Tempo, the bodyguard : Tempo is the older of the three brothers, the three aoidei closest to Echo, and so far, the only three that seem to have survived the fading. He is the voice for both himself and his Alto. While polite with most, he will not hesitate to defend anything he holds dear should he feel threatened, especially his lady. He says things like he sees them with no reservation - that is, until his goddess protest and he is forced to stop. He was also Echo's personal bodyguard and is slowly working on recovering his mastery of weapons after his long sleep. So far, he mostly handle blades - small ones, for speed instead of brute strength.
Alto, the confident : Alto, the middle brother, is calm, but shy to a fault. He does not speak and is mute, save for the flute he always carry with him, which is the only outlet for sound he seems to have. He is almost constantly at Echo's side, much moreso than Tempo and Concerto, and is the figure most associated to her, if one where to remember the time before the fading. He does have a slight crush, but he realizes that it is not something that will become a reality and remains steadfast in his appointed post, glad to be as close as he is to her.
Concerto, the messenger : Concerto is the youngest of the three brothers, and the one with the sense of organization. He was the one who led the servants to take care of Echo's former temple, as well as the one to rely messages to other deities. He is polite to a fault and anyone has yet to see him lose his cool, even in situation where anyone else, god or otherwise, would probably have blown their gaskets. However, when not required to be so, or in duty, Concerto is warm, friendly, and michevious.

Aria is an errais, a worldwalker, and is Echo's mount. She is gentle herself, but is headstrong in her will to keep Echo out of trouble and will defy orders if needed. Aria was found by Ishum, Nergal's beastmaster, and was given to her as a gift on his behalf. She now lingers close to the pantheon since the renewal, and one of her sons, Athanasius, has gone on to serve the Spirit Guide.

Allysia is a bit of an oddity - with an human mother and an elven father, it was not the large expends of forests that called to her, but the once tall and proud buildings that stood inside a port town called Koiso, in which she remained long even after her younger-lived mother passed on, her father having been nowhere to be found most of her life. Light brown haired and owning both vivid blue-turquoise eyes, the 60 years old halfing is still rather young by elven standards, but is a skilled, if rather quirky, architect, her talents often coming in handy as of late, first in building the many bridges of Koiso, and now in rebuilding very nearly the entire world around her.
Elizabeth is a bard, coming from a world called Ecletia. It's society is very steampunk/victorian-like, and bards remain an important aspect of their culture. Her distant ancestors were actually worshippers of Echo, and her harp had been kept in her family line for ages before Elizabeth was, finally, the one to return it. For now, she lives with Allysia and has pretty much became the half-elf's partner in crime.

It wasn't really Zero that found Yoko... it was Yoko that found Zero. Soon after she came to gaia, the dream, then a dreamlet, found her and saved her from the nightmares that where plaguing the young girl. The two have been together trough the rest of the dream's growth, protecting one another. Yoko seems to have adapted very well to the morphing process, and her link survives in the goddess even as Zero's presence fades, even if lately she prefers to remain unseen and watch over her dreamer
Vertigo is the second and last of Zero's pets. After all, she had hoped this would be temporary... At first a bit scared by the cat's strange apparence, she soon grew very attached to him and he, as well as Yoko, are her two closest confident. Vertigo almost seem to have not noticed any difference in between Zero and Echo, since they both give him petting, food, and cuddles, so who was he to complain ? While there are now other cats about, Vertigo remains the uncontested "king", and one of the few that actually survived the Gehenna wave and the events that followed it.

Echo and Nergal now have their own rooms, behind the door of supplicants, arms raised in song as they move along winding paths to find the lands of the dead. To say the the inside is much bigger than the space in between the doors in the corridor would lead one to think... is an understatement.
The whole layout is based on the typical layout of houses of ancient Rome. The "Garden" is a Zen style rock garden. The skylight above is open to the sky and weather, not covered by glass or anything. When it rains it rains. When it pours it pours. If the garden turns into a swamp due to bad weather, the kids are happy.
The large double door from the Commons to the Atrium/Garden are mostly for effect. Even if they are closed, you easily can get to the gardens and the back of the apartments via the hallway. Usually they are open, closed only to darken the common rooms whenever Nergal is holding court, or to shut out the weather when it gets just too bad even for deities to bear.
In the common room the mood is set by silken curtains hanging from the ceiling. They are billowing in the slightest breeze, and their color may change according to which deity is holding court. Vibrant colors for Echo, muted grays and blues for Nergal. There also are myriads of lanterns and candles hanging from the ceiling and set in the alcoves. They may be lit by candles or magic. If Nergal is around, the light is provided by the will o' the wisps that accompany him.
There are a number of sitting accommodations and tables in the commons room, allowing for feasting, discussion and lounging. The largest seat, looking not unlike a throne, is in front of the double door leading to the atrium and reserved for Nergal's/Echo's use. Which doesn't keep their children from taking a nap on it occasionally.
There are no doors from the Commons and the Atrium/Garden towards the hallway, these are open doorways which may only be "closed" by curtains. Almost every wall is covered with murals.
Nergal and Echo each have their own "private" room for whenever they feel the need for recluse. Nergal has his library/study, Echo has her music room.
Yes, their bedroom is HUGE. Its ceiling is painted with the image of a starry sky.
Yes, the bathroom is HUGE as well. It contains a small indoor pool rather than a bath tub.
