A: No, actually. They can be Anthros, Humans, or anything inbetween.

Q: I have a Chine, can I breed it nooow?!
A: Ahm, if it's an adult, and there are breeding spots open, sure! Check the breeding post first though, ok?

Q: We bred our Chine, can we sell the baby?!
A: Sure, but you will only get 20% to split between you. Why? Because we don't want people breeding their Chine for profit (:

Q: Don't you know that homosexual couples are just WRONG?!
A: Frankly, if you're narrow minded enough to fuss about us letting homosexual coupled Chine basically adopt, then you'll honestly get over it - I'm not going to waste time arguing about it. It's our choice.

Q: Don't you know there was a shop already based on Pandora's Box?! The Panderha?!
A: Yes, I know. How? I (Felyn) co-owned it with ArtsyWolven. This is, basically, that shop revamped. Artsy is busy with other things, and since this was my concept, I'm re-creating it.

Q: Can I give my Chine to someone else?
A: Yes, if you feel like it's being neglected, then sure - just tell us first. NOTE: you may not do this for any sort of profit or pet trade.

Q: Can you sell it for me then?
A: If you really wish to give it away for a profit, we will hold an auction, and you will get 20% of whatever is bid.

Q: Do I have to roleplay this pet?
A: Yes, you do, unless you win a non-rp auction (and we will have that written on the front page of the auction if it is).

Q: Can we be Affies?!
A: Sure, we have a banner for you to link from your shop, and just pm us yours and we'll put it up right away.

Q: The certs are so big, can I resize it?
A: Sure, if you want to resize it so that something else may also fit in your sig, sure - just don't take off the copyright. Or we'll hurt you <3

Now, ladies and gentlemen, allow me to tell you the tale of this great land and of our beloved Chine.

Long ago in the time of our most ancient of ancestors, the world was untainted and pure. The people of the lands did not know crime, sickness, or death; they lived in a true state of pure innocence and bliss. Among these people was Prometheus, a man the gods sincerely loathed. They devised a plan to bring him to his knees, to make him suffer - they created Pandora, a woman. Prometheus, knowing nothing good could come of any god-sent gift, refused, but his brother, Epimetheus, did not.

One day, as all rejoiced in their perfect world, Mercury flew by, burdened by a great chest perched atop his shoulders. He bade Epimetheus and Pandora to let him leave it at their home until he could continue with delivery at a later, unspecified date.

Now, unfortunately, the gods had bestowed upon Pandora a curiosity too strong to ignore the delicate package, and she urged Epimetheus to take a look inside. At his refusal, Pandora grew irritated, and refused to join his company as he went outside with his friends.

As Pandora sat in the company of the chest, she began to hear voices begging to her from within. In eagerness to release the tortured souls within its keep, Pandora lifted the lid - and, as the gods had planned all along, all the evils of the world burst out, infecting the perfect lives of earth's people.

However, from instinct, Pandora dropped the box, and the lid snapped shut.


Over the years, the lands surrounding this chest began to grow wild with its lack of human contact, growing into a vast jungle in which every species imaginable (and some not so imaginable) dwelled. In the center of this jungle, at the very heart, the gods placed the chest - a constant reminder to the humans of their power.

There it stood, for thousands of years, atop its pedestal of carved stone and vines - undisturbed. Until, one day, a tribe of nomads came through - and one solitary little boy happened upon the biggest secret in his lifetime. As he broke through the foliage, cutting away vines with his handcrafted knife, he began to notice the density of the jungle lessening. Then, as he cut away one last patch, his eyes beheld the most amazing site. There, atop that pedestal of legend was a great rosewood box - gold inlaid into symbolic carvings.

Knowing the importance of this shrine, the nomad tribe then set up a great stone temple around it, and left it be, respecting it. For years, it was a peaceful place to live once again. Until they started seeing the creatures.

It's safe to say that, until this point, the chest had been in hibernation - but all this commotion had awakened its soul. So, as the nomads carried on their normal rituals - they would come across a little child with the ears of a wolf, of a woman with great bird wings. Never for more than an instant did they see them.


They lived with these sightings for hundreds of years, until one nosey little boy decided to venture into the heart of the Temple.

For hours he walked along the old worn over trail, almost giving up this journey, when he saw that great temple. As he made his way towards it - he was aware of eyes on him, the hairs on the back of his neck beginning to prickle. Slowly, he reached out his hand to wrench open the door, and took a step inside.

At first look, it was horridly dark, the vines of the great pedestal had grow up and around the sides and floor of the dome temple - and the chest was putting out this beautiful aura.

After a moment, he turned to leave - only to hear the cry of a baby. As he stepped back towards the chest, there, in a mess of black and purple, was a baby boy - but with cat ears! Feeling an overwhelming sense of sympathy for the young child, he took him home to his parents, who raised and cared for the little toddler.

This then began the tradition of humans and Chine (the creatures that are born from the chest) being paired together.

In this stage, Babies are completely dependant on their parents or owners. To begin with, they cannot speak or walk, but can make audible noises and enjoy babbling in what they think is speech. They will later learn mobility and language. Also, if you will notice, they are not always completely formed. Since they are spirit based, even if they have physical bodies, in the baby stage they are still forming those bodies.
*Note: The age of babies will vary from Newborn to Toddler. Most of the younger babies will be for breeding only, Toddler aged babies will normally be the first gens.

Your Baby has grown! In this stage, your Chine can speak clearly, walk well, and starts to develop a very noticeable personality. They'll begin to pair off and form friendships, and are much more capable of doing things on their own.

Teen

Your child has grown! This is one of the longest stages, in which your Chine is undergoing quite a few changes. Your Chine will begin to develop love interests, and don't be surprised if all sorts of drama unfold during this stage.

Adult

Finally, your Chine is grown. They're mature (we hope) and could be moving into a serious relationship. Not only that, by now, they're at the age to have their own children. Breeding is open to them, and you'll be ready to start the growth cycle all over again!

Flatsales are creativity based. They are not speed based. We will give out a prompt, all those wishing to participate will have a set amount of time to create an answer. The best will get their choice of Chine via winning order. Then, the winners send 8k to this account.

If your Chine has reached the Adult stage, then they are free to Breed! But, only if there's a breeding slot open. Not only that, there are a few simple guidelines we need to go over first.

1 - If you own two Chine, you may not breed them. Sadly enough, we expect Chine owned by the same person to be treated as siblings, which would make breeding amongst them incest.

2 - Chine mate for LIFE. If you have a reason for de-mating a pair, a PM must be sent to Ahanu with the reason enclosed. After this, you must wait for permission - No exceptions.

3 - You may breed them as many times as you wish, however, you may not breed until all the previous children of the pair are in the teenage stage at least. (ex: You breed once, you must wait for that horde to become teens. You breed a second time, you must wait for the second horde to become teens, etc.)

4 - You may only keep one chine from any breeding, ever. However, if you get permission to demate a pair, then remate with another, you may have ONE from that breeding.

5 - ALL of your Chine MUST be roleplayed, period. So, if you breed and plan to keep one, make sure you can handle two or three at a time. Don't bite off more than you can chew.

6 - If you own a non-rp Chine (and you don't rp it) it may not breed. Sorry.

7 - Your Chine is mated with another of the same sex? They can still have children! However, this Chine will not be genetically linked to either of the Chine, and they are restricted to only one breeding. This is because this pet will also come directly from Pandora's Box, just like a regular event-Chine.

8 - Just as a reminder, your Chine may only breed if they are adult and the slots are open.

((If you have any questions or any plots that concern any breeding rules, PM them to Ahanu))

How This Works:

1 - First, you must have two mated adult Chine. To become mates, you need to roleplay. (This can't be a last second pairing, we must be able to read ahead of time where and when the pair became a couple.)

2 - If the slots are open, be the first to send a trade of 10k to the Ahanu account. If you are first, the trade will be accepted, if you aren't - it will be declined.

3 - Once you secure a slot, one of our artists will do a drawing of the pair together, depicting the female in a pregnant state. (If the couple is homosexual, ah.. they'll just be together.) This will then go up in the breeding selection for a random period of time.

4 - Once this period is over (meaning, once the artist has drawn all the children) we will post two to four children. You may either keep these, give them to a friend that's willing to rp them, or inform us that you will give them away via contest. If you give them away in a contest, you may do so through an auction or an rp event. Details will be discussed in private if you choose to do this.

I'm just your average seventeen year old with a bad attitude and a short fuse. If you're getting on my nerves I won't hesitate to tell you, and chances are - I probably won't even be nice about it. I'm a b***h, by all means, and I know it - hell, I'm proud of it. Too many people are pansies (-coughALcough-) Stupid, rude, or arrogant people piss me off and I hate answering too many questions - especially when they're all on the same subject. I have a sort of phobia of seeing people eat chicken on the bone and I hate manfeet. I can tell you the words to every song on any CD I have, but I have problems remembering what I had for lunch. I procrastinate hellaciously but then again, I don't have any patience either. If I was someone else, I would hate myself.
