Zodokai's Devil Tail Quest

It all started back in May of 2004. I joined Gaia and one of the first items I became fixated on was the Devil Tail. So, of course, being the newbie that I was, I created a quest thread and began questing for said tail. Little did I know that inflation would hit and my dreams of achieving my goal would vanish; the goal that I had been within fifty thousand gold of completing. So, once the devil tail had become about 600k gold out of reach, I gave up on the quest.

Since then, I have quested for many many other things in another quest thread that I had previous to this one. You can view it Here. And now that I have gotten basically everything else that I wanted, I decided to revive my old and almost forgotten dream of owning a devil tail. This time, I vow to complete my quest, even though that means I'll be saving for all of eternity. But, I cannot complete this quest alone and that's why I turn to you, my fellow Gaians, for help.

And once I get my devil tail, I know I'll eventually get bored since my quest will be over, plus the fact that I know that I am grateful for all of the help that I have and hopefully will continue to recieve for this quest, so I'll most likely start to randomly donate to people. But as I have said before, that will be on hold until I get the devil tail that I should have bought long ago.

Okay... here's all the Green Day videos and my reasonings for liking them and such...

1. Walking Contradiction - I just love how Billie Joe, Mike, and Tre are causing all of these problems and they are completely oblivious to it. Even in the beginning, when Billie Joe throws the stick and causes the bike to flip over, it's all classic. Of course, a bread truck chasing Tre and Billie Joe causing a multi-car accident was great, but then how can you forget Mike frying the worker? Also, the flying police car and the building collapse animation was great.

2. Basket Case - The fact that the video fits the song perfectly is enough by itself just to love this video. Also, originally filming the video in black and white and then colorizing it was great for the whole "paranoid" feel. Even just Billie Joe's eyes when he says 'paranoid' is enough to make anyone laugh. I also love how when Mike first comes out, he walks in the wrong direction and the nurse has to lead him back to his bass. Tre taking the pills was great, but I always thought it was funny when Mike through the filing cabinet at the window and flinched when the glass broke. And the freaky masks add a creepy feel to the whole video which is great.

3. Warning - I love seeing the character in the video doing everything you're not supposed to do. It's just so amusing to watch. Looking straight into the sun, running with scissors, taking candy from a stranger, and eating raw chicken are just some of the things that always make me smile when I see it. And, I also like it when Billie Joe pulls his hat down over his face while he's singing... it just looks so... cool.

4. Nice Guys Finish Last - I really like the whole football game feel. The pep talk in the beginning was funny as well as the little half time and ending segments. I really liked it when Mike kicked the water bottle and everybody was diving for it. And also when the guy stole the t-shirt and started dodging all of the security guards. Billie Joe's facial expressions were classic when he 'forgot the words' and had to look at the reference sheet on his wrist. Also, Mike 'spraining' his ankle is always amusing to watch. And who could resiste the Nimrod hat wearing dog?

5. Brain Stew/Jaded - I like how Brain Stew has that sepia discoloration thing going on. It really fits the dull, dry feeling that the song is talking about. I think it would be awesome to be pulled through a dump on a couch. And I always loved the old lady lip syncing the words, as well as the dog licking the camera. I also liked the transition into Jaded with the techno-colored horse. The fast paced feel of Jaded is really reflected in the video. Plus, I used to love the game, Mr. Bucket, so I was happy to see that.

6. Stuck With Me - I love the black and white as well as Billie Joe's awesomely spiked hair. I also love how they brought the Insomniac cover art to life. And you can see why it's called "God Told Me To Skin You Alive" when the woman holding Blue shaves off the guys skin.

7. Longview - You have to love Billie Joe's little green dreadlock and the Dookie dog on the tv. Also, Mike's stoned look and Billie Joe destroying the couch was very amusing.

8. Waiting - I really liked how the whole video was at a slowed down pace and then stopped. Then, the whole wind in the girl's hair thing before it resumed normal speed was a nice effect. I loved the bowling ball on the glass table part, as well as when Tre lines up the cup with the liquid. And of course, Tre jumping over his drums and the end and Billie Joe's little puckered up face.

9. Minority - The whole punk Macy's Day parade thing is really a cool idea. I love the animated balloons and how the baton twirlers kept dropping the batons. Plus, when they destroyed the float, I thought it was funny when Mike through the hand giving the peace sign at Billie Joe and the index finger got knocked off, so that it was only the middle finger.

10. Redundant - I always liked the redundancy of the video. But, my favorite part of the whole video was when Billie Joe picks up the newpaper at the end and the woman shrieks.

11. Hitchin' A Ride - I like it when their on the conveyer belt and Billie Joe does the 'slow motion' thing. I also liked it when the killer bug got released, but that's about it.

12. When I Come Around - It's nice to be able to see the lives of a bunch of different people and how they all sort of interconnect. I also enjoy it when Billie Joe pulls the phone off the hook.

13. Macy's Day Parade - The black and white is nice, and I like Billie Joe's short haircut, but I wish there was more of Mike and Tre in the video too.

14. Geek Stink Breath - Not one of my favorites, but I like the concept. It's not that I find it gross... it just looks excrutiatingly painful and makes my teeth hurt. I do really like the clips of the band, though.

15. Welcome To Paradise - I love how it's from an actual concert and you can see the mosh pit and everything. People are crowd surfing and getting up on the stage to dive in the mosh pit. I love it at the end when the security guard kneels on stage and pushes people off of it and then Billie Joe runs over and shoves the guard into the crowd and nobody catches him.

16. American Idiot - I have to admit, I love the green slime and the green soap flag. The slime blowing out of the stereos is very... visually appealing. Also, the use of different speeds is great... with Tre running around the drums really slowly and Mike jumping up and down really quickly.

17. Last Ride In - I love the documentary feel, but it's a little too long. I do like the go-kart scenes and when Tre sets his drums on fire, though.

18. Poprocks & Coke - It's okay, but not the greatest. I like it how it's almost like a private session with Billie Joe and how it's just the three of them hanging out and fooling around... but that's about it.

19. Jesus of Suburbia - This video fit in with the story of the album better than any of the others, but I still didn't like it that much. The things happening in it seem to be Green Day's style, but the overall video is definately another Bayer ******** up. Thankfully it's his last video ever.

20. Good Riddance - I like how Mike is shown at the gas station and Tre is shown have injured himself somehow, but it's relatively boring.

21. Holiday - The end car surfing scenes are okay and the whole bar scene is nice... especially Tre in drag. But, the very beginning is boring and I can't stand the dancers.

22. Boulevard of Broken Dreams - It's okay... I like the scratchy effect that they put in it... but it's rather boring. Just the three of them walking around.

23. Wake Me Up When September Ends - I can honestly say that the only thing I liked about this video was the shade of red that they used behind the band.
