Update: More questions.
Sorry guys. I wish I knew enough to be able to answer some of these questions myself.

"I have questions like how long does it take to prepare for the surgery and how long does it take to go back to work/school. "

I haven't had chest surgery, but I've definitely heard that your chest goes quite numb for a while afterwards. I wouldn't worry too much about it if I were him.

I'm pretty sure there are a few guys on here that have gotten chest surgery. Nios is one of them, he'll probably give you the scoop. I'm sure Nate could tell you as well, he has great knowledge of everything trans.

As for me, I haven't had it yet either.

Like I said in the other forum, it is most likely normal, it's an incredibly intense surgery and some sensation can take up to or maybe longer than a year to return.

But you could look up reduction surgery for more info I bet.

I'm expecting a little musical intro now. xd

I'm am pre-op, but to my knowledge some numbness that soon after surgery is fairly normal. Hopefully some experienced members like Nios or Bastian will be able to tell their own view on this.

A good place to ask about this, if you're still unsure, is http://ftm.livejournal.com the FtM LJ Community. It has a lot more older members and members who are post-op.

I'm moving this to the Transsexual subforum, however.

Remember, kids: That forum exists. ;D

I don't know everything.

I typed, "I'm am."

Now I have to go stand in the bathroom naked and write, "bed spellor" on my stomach in walrus blood.
