So I'm having a really rough time with the medical system. 6 months to get my 'T' letter, and there's a 9 month waitlist to see the endo.
I already have my letter as of a couple of weeks ago. I am started to get frustrated with all of this waiting though, and it has been suggested a few times that maybe I could see an endo elsewhere?
Does anyone know anything about this? IE waitlists elsewhere, where the prescription would have to be filled, how much it would cost, etc. Anything is helpful! Even just your thoughts/opinions on the situation.

hi there. I am now trying to be helpful, even if u might already thought of that.
First of all it depends where u live since im speaking of my experience in the US NW aka very queerfriendly place...
look for local support groups! They can provide recources. Seeing an endo was no good for me since i knew a lot bout T already so she didnt really tell me anything new. Ask ur normal doc if he can do it or look for a clinic that other ftm in ur area recommend. 9 months is wayyy to long to wait.
i only saw my endo once, for the shots im seeing her nurse.
get ur T through stroheckers online pharmacy in Oregon, its cheap, theyre nice and superfast! Well, unless ur allergic to sesame oil since their T is in a sesame oil (talk to ur doc about allergies and delivery methods)

Where are you that there's such a long waiting list?
I had trouble finding a therapist that would write me a letter. It took over a year! A friend of mine gave me some of his T so that my voice would change a little. It helped a LOT in terms of passing. It only took a few doses, and he just told the clinic that he dropped the bottle in unsanitary conditions, so they refilled it no prob.
Of course, I'm not suggesting you use hormones illegally... stare
