Quote: Lisa's profile.Name: Lisa Anne Turpin Age: 11 Parents: Siblings: Two brothers, and one adopted sister. Family lineage: Pureblood... but she's been disowned. Lives with a half-blood girl and her parents. Eye Color: Green-Blue Hair Color: Golden Blonde, either a mass of tight curls or straight. ( Another example.) When straight, tied back in a long neat plait with a dragonfly clip. Skin Color/Markings: Pale, and has the strange look of someone with no markings. Her overall look has the 'china doll' look, with a lack of physical flaws on her face, arms and legs. (Parents paid for magical removal of all freckles and birthmarks when she was young.) Height: Barely 4.7'' Body: Thin, a bit underweight and has that 'breakable' look. Likes: Muggles, the beach, Jess. Hates: Food, brothers, males. Wants to: Favorite Class: Worst Class: Quote: Where did your student grow up? Australia, and England. What were his/her parents like? Upper class, doting on her, but also careful, and craving for a son/heir. Her other family, was more regular. Myra was a witch, father was a muggle, Jess was a halfblood, they lived in out in country London near the beach, near where the Turpin family spent their summers. Does he/she have any siblings, and how do they get along with said siblings? She has two brothers, and she hates them. Don't ever expect her to admit they exist, if anyone asked, she'd deny it. Jess is her adopted sister, and she and Jess are as close as twins might be. Do they know much about the magical world, or not? She knows about the magical world, she grew up in it. What is their personality like? She's curious, and she wants to learn about everything she possibly can, her mind's like a sponge. (THis'll be a issue with others, because I'm not just talking learning from books here... this is the ideal person to spread gossip to. And she'll pass it on. XD) She also tries to see past social structures, Lisa's found more happiness with a half-blood than the 'perfect purebloods'. And Lisa's also a bit of a drama queen, once she's relaxed. 'Oh, my foot is BRUISED.' Comes from being doted on for so long. Do they have any major/minor flaws? An obvious major flaw would be her overwhelming jealousy over her brothers. It really badly brings out the worst in her, and quickly. She's also not very happy about food, Lisa's always on a diet. Something she did manage to get from her mother. And another major flaw- how much she depends on Jess, and even more so, how much Lisa depends on Jess's family never changing... no new children, no moving, everything regular and normal. It'll bring out some interesting plot later on. ninja And physically, her bones are thin and a little too breakable. That's a flaw, it means that Lisa's more likely to break a bone or dislocate something than other people. (So no Quidditch for her. XD) That problem can be solved with calcium, and Lisa's ability to learn quickly- She'll teach herself how to repair broken bones, when she's an adult. But for now, it's something that might hold her back a little. Lisa's also clumsy. Baaad combanation with the thin bones, but it's true. She's never actully broken anything, but Lisa's been known to trip over her own toes. Any close friends? One, a girl called Jess and her family that Lisa has adopted as her own. And Mr. Squiggles, her cat. She's going to attempt to make more friends, of course. ^_^ What do they think about going to Hogwarts? Lisa's excited, she's sure it's the way to a life of her own. She's also terrified that she'll be clumsy. (And she will be. >: D) What are their future plans? She's thinking Curse breaker. But Librarian would also suit her. Is he/she a foreign exchange student? Well, not really, no. Lisa's half-Australian, so she does have a mild accent, but she's just as accustomed to England as Australia.

Family!
Biological Family.
Anke Turpin Age: 30 Notes: Married to an older man at the age of 18. Gave birth to first child, Lisa, at the age of 19. Marriage is not too bad. No real love, but there is respect, ect. And she does find her husband handsome, and has a nice comfortable life. Still looks young and healthy, slimmed down since her sons and has no plans for any future children.
Aisling Turpin Age: 52 Notes: Married his wife when he was 32. Has a good job, proud of his two sons, conciders his life perfectly fine just the way it is. Finds wife beautiful, isn't too unloyal... Will never admit it, but he's very much wrapped around his wife's finger.
Aisling Jr. Turpin Age: 5
William Turpin Age: 3
Adopted Family.
Myra Ratcliffe Age: 45 Notes:
Andy Ratcliffe Age: 48 Notes:
Jess Ratcliffe Age: 11 Notes:

Friends and pets.
Jess Lisa's lifelong best friend, and adopted sister. More under family.
Mr. Sqiggle A cat Lisa and Jess bought together in Diagon Alley. He's a 'ragdoll' breed of cat, highly affectionate to both girls. (And to anyone else who'd give him attention.) He's fluffy and white, with blue eyes, and dark grey points. Mr. Sqiggle is also rather large for a kitten, but he still has that kitten look. He's afraid of dining room sized chairs.

Personal things.
(No image yet.) The Dragonfly clip. Antique, and passed down from Lisa's grandmother. She rarely goes anywhere without it, usually keeping it neatly in her hair.
Books Almost all of them are about ancient cultures, ancient curses and ancient forms of magic. Some though are just normal Muggle novels, set in Muggle worlds. There's about fifteen in total, no knowing how many she'll manage to pack for Hogwarts.

Lisa's home.Lisa's current home. The house, semi-large and out in the country, is comfortable and a strange mix of Wizarding things hidden away, and muggle things. For Lisa, it's unusual to have the need to hide her magical side, even if she can't use it yet.
There's a few dogs on the property outdoors, a cat indoors, a canary and occasionally neighbors pop over for dinner. It's calm enough, and relaxed. There are house rules, Lisa's had to learn how to deal with parents that don't let her get away with things.

Lisa's memories leading up to Hogwarts. Lisa was born and grew up in England and Australia in a family of five- Her, her brothers, and her parents. Her parents, an English-born and an Australian-born were not rich, but were comfortable and well linked socially in the Wizarding World. They treated their children with calm respect, sure that they would be repaid with their children marrying well in the purebloods and bringing honor to the name 'Turpin'. The Turpin Family was a mix of Slytherins and Ravenclaws, giving them a slight advantage socially.
She never lived in one house for longer than a year. Her family took a liking to moving around, and by some means or another; they managed to keep for themselves the Turpin Estate, and a few other isolated homes dotted about.
Of course, the problem with this was that the more homes they had, the less furniture. One of Lisa's earliest memories was of coming back to the little Turpin Estate in England, and finding it almost empty for a day while they waited for the moving people to bring the belongings from the last house to this one. She hadn't understood at the time, all she understood that she didn't have a bed or toys for an entire night.
She was nine when the first of her two siblings was born. Lisa was old enough now to notice another thing that'd scar her for the rest of her life- Her parents were relived they'd finally had a son. As Lisa could remember overhearing her mother to another woman, 'We thought we'd be cursed with only Lisa'. When Lisa heard that, she threw a tantrum and tried to run away... with the baby. Someone else could have it! They were mean, they deserved to be cursed! It took five minutes to find her, and after that beating by her father, Lisa decided to harbor her grudge rather than act on it. A year after this child was born, another son was born. 'The loved boys', they'd call them, and dote on them... with Lisa's old toys, her old room, her old things...
Instead of another attempt to get rid of them, Lisa watched with jealousy and hatred clouding her mind and thoughts. By this point, she was sure that life would have been wonderful if they hadn't been born, and all Lisa could think about when she was around the babies or listening to talk about the babies, was how much she hated her brothers.
Now she wasn't alone during this time of her life, she was friends with another girl. A half-blood, whom each summer when her family took residence in their summer home, she'd meet up with and spend all summer with her friend. Lisa forgot her troubles when she was with her friend, they were just a couple of girls without any care about social status, blood, or type. Life seemed to fade into a happy daze with that friend, and even Lisa's mother had to approve of it- It made Lisa glow with happiness. When her brothers were born, her parents had been glad to find that Lisa seemed to forget her obsessive jealousy and was the same bright and happy girl as ever.
And when her parents left her in England at Jess's house when she was ten with a suitcase of robes and a few books, Lisa barely noticed. The reason they left her there, although Lisa didn't know, was because they were worried for their son's health- and Lisa was embarrassing them. No one would really notice she'd gone, and Lisa's mother... although careful not to show it, really did want the best for Lisa. Life with her friend, Jess, was exactly how Lisa had pictured a family to be. When Jess went to Muggle school, Jess's parents tutored Lisa on mythology, on ancient worlds, on anything and everything she desired. She didn't even remotely miss her parents, Lisa was finding that she felt more at home with this Muggle and his wife than anywhere else in the world. And her parents wrote, in horrible formal letters that Lisa was starting to hate. It was the only time she went back to her bitter self, and every single word, sentence or paragraph about the boys was burnt, stabbed, ripped, eaten, whatever Lisa could do.
She started to do something Lisa had never thought to do. Lisa's barriers broke down and her true self came out. She started to make plans, she started to think about jobs, about a life that didn't involve the duty of a social based marriage. About love, and how she'd love anyone... muggle, half-blood, muggleborn, pureblood, it didn't matter. It was terrible thinking for someone in Lisa's family, but she didn't care.
She wanted to be a curse breaker in exotic parts of the world, she wanted to go to Egypt and to Asia, and to see what she could discover about Atlantis, and Lisa wanted to help uncover secrets of the ancient world. As her jealousy faded away, her curiosity about everything grew, and grew, and grew.
Lisa was starting to get very excited about Hogwarts. Here, with Jess, she'd start at the school and path that led to her freedom. Once she was finished, Lisa would never have to see or hear about her brothers, never have to worry about what to say or do when she was with her parents, never have to act like one of them, the purebloods that talked and walked like they had a wand up their arse.
Life seemed to be only just starting for her.
