Arg! You have come to the island of Cinnibar! My favorite place to be! It is here you meet up with Sir Blane, the quiz master! He's a man of knowledge under hot conditions, so he advises that you take a trip to the science lab, where they know how to make fossils into pokemon. Currently they're doing reaserch into the mist that's caused some trouble through the land...they haven't gotten very far, but to help them you could always check out the pokemon Mansion. It's got a wealth of info.
Right now, Blane's Retired, so currently the gym is off limits...like that'll stop you.
Cinnibar Gym Leader: Open
In here you'll find some theives, some pokemon, and some statues with switches. I'd recomend pressing the switches if I were you. You'll find some slips of paper that the science lab wants, but if you try to read it you won't understand a thing. The only health hazard here are the annoying thieves and the even more annoying Koffing. (shudders) Not to mention Blane has the key to the place and it's practically a maze. Good luck.
