A friend of mine came to me today in a bit of a tizzy about a very transphobic, lesbian-centric blog that has been using photos of transmen without their permission.
Now, I know that this blog is incredibly unpleasant, but I would recommend that you - A] Resist the urge to throw abuse at her, as it is stooping to her level. If you want to try and intelligently point out her ignorance, feel free, but it shall most likely fall upon deaf ears. B] Don't read her posts. Really, it is not worth your time, nor is it worth your emotion.
I am posting the link purely so that owners of the photos can be identified and contacted, so that people can request that she removes the photos as apparently she has been removing them upon request.
The blog: The blog: http:// dirtywhiteboi67 [dot] blogspot [dot] com/
Also adding this note from the words of a mod in the 'Transgender' LJ community: Apparently she tracks IPs and tends to internet-harrass and stalk people, so please be aware of this and go to the link only with that in mind.

Did this person have another blog before? I can't tell if I've read through this one or not. It sounds like the same person but the layout is different and their picture isn't in the sidebar like the other one I'm thinking of. But gosh, I wonder what drives someone to have so much hatred for a group of people. sad

She has been around for a long time, so it wouldn't be surprising if you've seen the blog before or a similar one by the same person.

I can't even allow myself to begin to explain how much it sickens me when I see queer people bashing on other queer people. The amount of transphobia within the gay and lesbian community shocks me every time I experience it. I just spent all day organizing a transmasculine camping trip and getting really excited that pride starts this weekend, and then bam! A big huge depressing reminder of how far we still need to go to create tolerance->acceptance->love of one another.

I faced it first hand from a close lesbian friend and her wife who is bisexual. It's different to deal with it from people that you know and care about than people online. I seriously felt that dropping feeling in my stomach. Said some horrible things and trying to figure out how to get them to see it was hard to do.
Sad that people like that exist...

I know and know of quite a few trans people who are homophobic too. Not that this makes it better but it's not just one way either. I think it's worse to see it widespread. One person on a blog is one thing. The amount of people that comment on The Advocate saying disgusting things about us and how we're "holding back" "their" movement, that's what sickens me the most.
I remember when that happened, Kyle. So sorry. Has it gotten any better with them...?

They've been ignoring me completely so...I guess?
Oh, there's also transphobic trans people. I've run into WAY too many of them. Most of them deny their disliking of most transgender people.

Ugh. Just, ugh.
I read a few of the blog posts, and I'm still having a hard time gripping the fact that one person can spew out that much hate. It's like a blog created by the biggest, ugliest of trolls ever to troll... Makes the CB look pretty tame. O__o;

Well, gotta say... after reading that... *tries to be diplomatic* distateful blog... This, as childish as it may be, helped me get over it and should provide a good enough reason for no one to take the basher seriously. Look, for it is the face of this evildoer! Click!TheBlackLion: "Fighting ignorance with comedy since 1992." wink
