Hello. My name is James. I've been a part of this guild for about two years and have probably only posted three times, so that's why you're probably like "Whodafawkisdis?"
But anyway, I have a question about Underworks binders, specifically the 997 and the 983. About six months ago, my friend bought me a 997 in size XS. It was too big. Yes, that's right, the EXTRA SMALL was TOO BIG. gonk Now, what I'm wondering is, would the 983 fit better?
On the website, it says the 983 in XS is sizes 28-30, while the 997 is sizes 29-31... One size smaller, plus it has three layers instead of just two... I'm guessing it might be a little bit tighter, but probably not much.
So, for people who have bought both the 997 and 983, preferably both in size XS, is there much difference in the sizes of the two binders? Does the extra layer make it any tighter?
Thanks for reading, and super thanks if you can help me out. ninja

I feel like the tri-top is significantly tighter. What are your measurements?

I'm not really sure about my measurements. I only know that the 997 was too big. It just fit me like a regular shirt. It wasn't huge, but it was large enough that it didn't do any binding.

Well, what you've got to do is measure around underneath your...man boobs, take that measurement, then measure around the widest part of your chest. Average the two to determine what size to use.

Hmm... Okay. Well, let me attempt to measure... I don't have a tape measure thing, but I will estimate using my fingers I guess. xD
Right underneath is about 23 inches, widest part is about 27 inches. Average would be 25 then... So I'm guessing that means the 983 would still be too big. D:

Yea...that's how you figure out what's right for you. Ummm...there are other sites that I know for a fact run smaller than underworks. You're either really young or have a tiny frame. You can try here: http://www.lesloveboat.com/shop/index.php?language=enThey are made for smaller bodies...the smallest size might work for you...I know they use velcro on a lot of 'em so the tightness can be adjusted.

The problem with that site is that it's "LGBT Pride items and accessories" and my friend's father is the one who has to buy them for me. He thinks they're for my brother for exercising. gonk
Also, I am about to turn 17 but I am the tiniest person I know. D:

What you can do is get one of those cards...like a visa gift card and use it to buy the binder.

I can't because my dad would have to buy it, and he'd have to know what he'd be buying it for, and then he'd have to check that I actually bought what I told him I was buying...
in other words, I tried to take that route before and failed miserably. gonk
Also, from looking at both that second site and T-Kingdom, it doesn't appear that the sizes get any smaller than 28 anyway... gonk gonk gonk

They still seem really expensive to me... not that I could get one from there anyway.
Anyway, thanks for your help... I don't know what I'm going to do... I wish I wasn't so tiny, or so young, but what can you do? Anyway, thanks for trying to help me out.

You know what you might be able to pull off...a DIY binder. Small back braces, frog bra...I know one guy used a large brace for a knee or leg which worked out great. Neoprine waist trimmers also work and come in very small sizes.
