But they can advance their age. The only things they can't do, is skip over two years within 6 months, and they can't reverse back to a younger age. ⋆ Most Guardians keep their age about a year or two older then who they protect.⋆Most Guardians can read their Guardee's thoughts and feelings. Hands in her pockets Rina walked home from school. It was hot out and the sun pounded on her skin as if she were in a tanning bed. Pulling her iPod out of her right pocket she slund her headphones around her neck and cranked the volume up all the way.
"When I was younger I saw, my daddy cry, and curse at the wind." She sang along in her 'angelic' voice. As her friend Dan said she had. As the music played she turned a corner, almost home. But when gun shots sounded down the street, Rina knew something was going on. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

"I'm the nightmare, for nightmares which humans can't face." Asi wandered near the school Rina went to, he was in the form of a black cat and waited for Rina to finish. When he saw her he chased after her letting out a concerned "mew" then purring, acting like a normal cat. He walked along, brushing against her ankles but careful not to trip her. He loved being around her and didn't find his role of guardian angel in any way troublesome, he had jumped onto a nearby wall and was walking alongside her still when the gunshots ran out and he let out a hiss. This was bad, if Rina continued towards them he'd have to leave for a second and transform, if that is she ignored his warnings in her conscience. "Rina, don't go. You know it's dangerous that way, just call mom and say you'll be late. Oh and tell her not to leave the house or whatever building she's at." He telepathically told her as her conscience. Current form:  "I give fear to the demons to liberate one human."

Biting down on her bottom lip lightly she shifted her book bag on her back. Her head told her to do one thing, but Rina didnt really listen to that little voice in her too often. Its why she was always getting into some kinda trouble. Standing there for afew more minuets she looked over to the cat. Smiling lightly at it she put a hand out to it. "What do you think kitty? Its safe right." Looking away from the cat Rina took in a deep breath and walked on. But as she took another step. Another gunshot sounded. Only this time, it was close.
So close, the crack of the gun hurt Rinas ears. Looking around two cars came speening down the road. Rina froze, watching the two cars. Bulletts passing from car to car. The cars getting closer and closer. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

(I'm soo loving this, it's my first duet rp. Man I should do this more often, less chance of a noob messing up my rp's!) "I'm the nightmare, for nightmares which humans can't face."He could almost cry when he heard Rina ignore his conscious and ask a cat what it thought, although the cat was her guardian angel she didn't know that. Letting out a sorrowful "meeeuuw" He turned and ran into the bushes, shifting into a crow and flying out from the bush as if spooked by the cat, cawing up a storm before settling on the sidewalk in a few feet from Rina before giving her a dagger eyed look hoping she'd take more suspicion based decision not to go near, then the gunshots happened closer and he had to make a more divine intervention, quickly flying into a nearby alley were a stray bullet flew past and startled him and he called out before shifting into a large wolf and jumping onto one of the cars' doors and grabbing the gun that hung out the window held by a gangster's hand before tossing it in Rina's direction. He didn't want her to die and even though having blood on her hands wasn't good either it might be better if she did that instead of something foolish like getting killed, meanwhile he'd try his hardest to take down the gang until police came. At the gun crashed infront of her feet Rina snapped back into reality. Her first theough was to grab the gun, so if anything happened, she could protect herself, but she didnt wanna into any trouble. Looking to the car she saw something, and animal, a wolf. The cars skidded to a stop. The onlt thing seperating them from Rina, was about 50ft and this animal.
A car door opened, drivers and passengers. The car without the wolf clinged to it. Rina eyed the men. With a shaking hand she grabbed her cell phone, dailed a 9, then, a strong hey, and a gun pointed to her, shook it from her grasp. "HEY! What do you think your doin'?!?" Called the man who came out of the passengers seat. Rinas heart and mind raced, but no ideas came to her head. She only stood there, trembling. "You can't hear or somthin'?!" The angry voice called, the man with the gun getting closer. The first thing Rina thought of, that actually made sence what that she would die. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

(Sorry if you want Asi to reveal his angel form, not yet, otherwise it might make my excitement go by too quickly.) "I'm the nightmare, for nightmares which humans can't face."Asi whirled to see a group running towards Rina and his paws worked double time to reach them. He jumped at when of the underlings and bit his arm, crunching down on the bone just enough to fracture it but not break it, before making his way tot he leader with the gun moving quickly the whole time and making sure to disarm the others before pouncing on the leader from behind and grabbing the wrist that held the gun, snarling like a fiend and his eyes moved towards Rina before twisting his head and snapping the wrist completely. "Get the heck out of here Rina!" He tried to send another message, hoping it would work since there was still some danger around and even if the police came she might be arrested for being a teen near the scene of the crime. It was a shame that cops were mostly judgmental or just plain brutal. Current form: "I give fear to the demons to liberate one human."

Rina watched, her eyes scared, her body still shaking. But the voice in her head snapped her out of whatever she was in, shock mostlikely. Taking a wobbly step backwards Rina turned on her heel. Running away from the scene she stummbled and almost fell more then once, but whatever told her to run, just saved her life.
Back at the scene the thuggs all gathered back into their cars, leaving the injured behind to suffer.
As Rina came onto the next road, still running. Looking back she saw no one coming after her. Breathing heavy she slowed to a stop and fell to her knees on the side walk. Staring down at the craem colored sidewalk she panted. "What.... The hell... Just happened??" She asked herself.
Head spinning and heart spinning a vibration came from her pocket, making her jump. Pulling her purple and black phone from her jacket pocket she flipped it open. A text from her mom. Rolling her eyes she snapped her phone shut and wobbled back to her feet, trying to calm herself. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

"I'm the nightmare, for nightmares which humans can't face."Good she's running now, he thought before turning to give anyone still capable of fighting and were too stupid to feel fear a warning snarl before turning to run after Rina, once he turned the corner he shifted into a human teenage boy and took a shortcut he knew would get himself ahead of Rina, just as he was running out the exit he tripped over her knee. She was sitting on the sidewalk! "Ow." He moaned, rubbing his nose which had hit the pavement and began bleeding. He turned to see her and apologized. "Sorry, but you shouldn't be sitting on the pavement like that. The wrong guy might trip and do something to you." Current form:  "I give fear to the demons to liberate one human."

Hand shooting over her mouth she looked over at the boy. "Oh my gosh!! I am SOOO sorry!!" Hurring to get to her feet she helped the boy up. "Are you alright?" She asked, looking worridly at the boys bloody noes. Digging in her messenger bag she pulled out her black bandana and hanged it to him. "I really sorry about that." She said, her tone apologetic.
Looking over the boys face she tilted her head. Maybe hes a middle schooler... She thought. Rina had never seen him around before so this was odd. She sees everyone around her negibor hood atleast once or twice. But his was a new face, and voice.
Looking behind her she took in a breath of relief. No one seemed to been following her. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

"I'm the nightmare, for nightmares which humans can't face."Asi tied the bandanna to his face like a bandit before looking at Rina with curiosity, acted of course since he knew everything about Rina since she was little. "Don't worry, it's just that my veins are thinner than usual, long story..." He lied before noticing her expression, he knew she knew everyone in town but he was completely new. "The name is Keenan, I'm new here. I'm going to be going to the high school here. Umm, grade 11. Yeah. Sorry to bother you but did you pass by the shoot out? I ran as soon as I saw the wolf and I happened to see you running around the corner away from the place. T-that was scary." Current form: "I give fear to the demons to liberate one human."

Looking back to the blonde she sighed. "Yeah... That wasnt really to normall for this area. Not that it hasnt happened before." Rina said moving teal hair from her face. "Scary indeed..." She said, in a low voice.
Shaking her head she looked back up at the boy. "Well, I'm Rina. And me and you seem to be in the same grade." She said, tilting her head. "I'm only 16, but I got moved up to the 11th grade because of my GPA." She told him proudly. Shrugging she looked around. "But its not really a big deal." She said. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

"I'm the nightmare, for nightmares which humans can't face.""Well I'm glad it's not usual. The gang wars I mean but in a way it makes things just that much more unpredictable." Asi frowned, not just at the fact of what he said but at the disgusting amount of times he'd lied about himself. It always hurt him to lie but he'd sacrifice everything to protect Rina, which in a way was protecting himself because he was sure he'd die if she died. A small tear rolled down his cheek but he quickly wiped it away with his sleeve, acting like it never existed. "Well it's a good thing you got a grade ahead, you'll be out of school sooner. Maybe you could help me out with my homework, before this year I was always home schooled. So I don't know the system. To admit it...I'm actually really scared." 'Keenan' blushed in embarrassment before turning to see one fancy looking hummer, inside the car was a group of guys who looked high and gave him a bad vibe. "I think we should get out of here..." Looking behind her she gazed at the guys in the hummer for a second, then looked back to Keenan she nodded. "Agreed." Taking his hand she pulled him along, going the long way back to her house. "And you have no reson to be scared." She said as they walked. "And plus. I'll be there for you." She said flashing him a bright smile.
Turning onto the mair road she stopped walking. "Where do you live? I only live five minuets or so from here, so I can walk by myself. I dont want to drag you along if you dont live near there though." She said, cars passing making her hair blow up in face. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛

If they come closer I'll deal with them, you're too good to get hurt, me I have nothing. Trust me if the the worst happens." He smiled grimly and gave her a light push before turning to glare at the gang. "Run I'll catch up, I want to make sure they won't shoot you."
