Lola sighed greatfully as she let herself sink a little further into the cool stream. The rainstorm had caused it to overflow it's banks, and the water looked too inviting to ignore. Besides, she'd been traveling for a while and felt pretty gritty by now.

Plusle and Minun stood guard, each on opposite sides of the river, facing away from their trainer. Plusle play with a small caterpillar, too distracted to hear anything, Minun sat munching on an apple, also not paying much attention.

But Lola didn't really expect anything to come by.

"Ahh..." She gave a happy sigh as she dunked herself under and continued scrubbing at her skin.

Lola, on the other hand, did notice when she came back up, she gave a loud gasp and then a shriek, quickly crouching down in the water and covering herself. "Mas! Menos!"

Plusle looked up, blinking in surprise. He gave a startled sound as he realized that someone had come by! His trainer had told him to keep a look out! Bounding forward he gave a warning cry to the other human and his Ekans. "Plu-plu!"

Minun turned with his own cry of surprise, quickly jumping to stand on his trainer's head and crackling threateningly with sparks.

Lola sunk down low into the water, part offended that this kid was just walking away, part.. she didn't know what. "Mas, don't.. come back here." She had managed to edge to the side of the stream, reaching out to pull a towel from her bag. She pulled it into the water, not caring that it would get wet, and wrapped it around herself so she could climb out, Minun still sitting atop her head, though he had stopped his sparking as well.

"Hey, you!"

He didn't deserve to get yelled at, he hadn't been a peeping tom, quite obviously. She noticed the Ekans curled around his arm, perking up. All former hostility was gone. "Wait! Hey! Who are you? Are you a trainer?"

Plusle ran over to where Lola was standing, stopping beside her foot and looking up at Minun. He'd rather be up there with his brother than down on the ground but...

Lola seemed much more antsy now. "Are you traveling? Or just walking? Can I come with you? Just let me change, okay?" She grabbed her bag and ran over to a group of bushes, promptly hiding herself within them.

Plusle and Minun stood just in front of it, looking as menicing as a Plusle and Minun could. They were protecting their trainer's dignity!

When she was changed she stepped out, now wearing a simple white dress that went down to her knees, the back decorated in the form of a Goldeen's tail and edged with golds and oranges. Her wet hair was pulled back into a ponytail held by a butterfree hairpin. She slung her pack over her shoulder, still sandles held in one hand, and ran over to where the boy was, all smiles and eagerness. Plusle and Minun followed behind, stopping at her feet and looking a bit nervously up at the snake pokemon.

Lola's expression changed again, eyebrows creasing together as she gave a grim nod. "Yeah... that's what I'm here for too. I just stopped to get clean." She squated down and reached out her hands toward her two little pokemon, letting them use her forearms as a spring board to leap to her shoulders, Plusle taking the spot atop her head this time.

She stood back up, now ready, nodding firmly to the boy. "My name is Lola." She held out her hand to him, not one bit afraid of the Ekans, in fact, her eyes shimmered with interest as she spotted it's flaming tail. She withheld the question. "Do you have any pokemon that are good at locating things? A Zubat or Venonat?"

Lola frowned slightly, beginning to follow him. She had a little trouble, but not because of her dress, she just wasn't the best climber. Plusle and Minun, on the other hand, hopped off of their pearch on their trainer and began to make their way up the rocky side of the cliff, quickly reaching the boy and his Ekans. Plusle stopped to stick out his tongue at him before continuing on, followed by his brother.

"An eevee? I don't know much about them either... it might be able to smell something though? And what's your name, you didn't tell me." She made her way slowly up the side of the rock.

This kid was weird. She felt a little awkward around him, he seemed completely uninterested in her company, and she wasn't quite used to that.

"Kozue? Nice to meet you. Your Ekans is beautiful." She gave a small happy gasp as she saw the adorible little Eevee. "Oh my gosh, she's so CUTE!"

She wanted to get her sketch book out and draw her RIGHT NOW but there was work to be done. She satisfied herself with just giving the little Eevee a look of adoration before she motioned down to her Plusle and Minun.

"This is Mas," She pointed to Plusle, who gave a 'hmph' and crossed his little arms over his chest, refusing to look toward the boy and his Ekans. Already he didn't really like them...

"And Menos." She pointed toward Minun, who copied his brothers actions, he felt about the same.

She looked down at them in all seriousness. "You go together. Just like we planned before, if you find anyone who is injured, send up some sparks."

To confirm that they understood the two Pokemon nodded, pressing their tales together to send a shower of crackling sparks over the wet ground. "Plu!"

"Min!"

And then they were both scampering off together into the forest. Lola straightened, putting her hands on her hips in confidence of her two little pokemon. "They're not a very high level but their tough." She nodded in confirmation before turning back to Kozue to see where he'd have them go.
