Walking onto a clearing in the middle of the forest, Frederic looked at his watched and noticed that he was a little early for his scheduled battle with Phoenix. Taking notice that the sky was clear, he took out a pokeball from vest and released his Lightning, his pikachu. "okay lightning," said Frederic, "let's give it our best today"

Phoenix walked into the clearing, just on time. She saw Frederic was already at the clearing. "Hey." SHe tossed out Rohar's ball and he sprang out. She bent down and whispered in his ear, "Good luck today, bud." He meeped in return and turned to face his opponate, a pikachu, with some pink markings. "This'll be fun."
((I might have to leave at any time during this battle. My sister got home a few moments ago and she can boot me off the computer at any time. sweatdrop ))

((that's alright we'll just pick it up from where we left off))
"Alright, I don't see any advantage in dragging this out, go Lightning, start things off with a thunder shock." The small Pikachu then jumped forward and launched a thundershock attack.

The thundershock flew from Lightning and towards the mareep. Though it looked slightly off course, it hit it's mark, Lightning, paured to see if it would paralyze.

((For paralysis, we're doing 60+ (or 70+), right? (30 for static, 10 for thundershock, if we use that)))
Rohar shook herself of the static that rushed through her with a sigh. She didn't end up on the ground was near it. Good job, Rohar! Phoenix silently cheered. Okay, thundershock or tackle. Which one?!?!? Okay, I'm up against a pikachu. Tackle, then. "Okay, ROhar. Tackle, now!"

The hit painful as lightning was thrown across the field. It was the hardest hit that he has taken up to this point. "Okay, lightning, just get up. we can still win this, go thundershock" Then the pikachu got back on its feet and blasted another thundershock.

Rohar tumbled backward, then got up as soon as he stopped moving. He shook his small head and gave a defiant glance at this pikachu. "Rohar, tackle!" He heard Phoenix yell.

Rohar connected wonderfully, if Pheonix thought so herself. Let's see if Lightning paralyzed....

((Wait, wouldn't Rohar be the one that is paralyzed? I mean I thought the ability was the applied to the one who made the attack. Unless I'm just confusing my self even more.))

I guess so. So there is only a roll if a person is struck by a physical attack. THen why were we checking paralysis for thundershock? (I'm guessing I'm paralyzed now or should it be you who rolls since I was rolling for my own attack and it would really be your ability that was doing it?) ??))
