Kitsu sat cross-legged, calmly waiting for his opponent to show up. He knew she would be fielding a growlithe, so this battle would be more force than anything, as neither side had any type advantages over the other. Rhun was perched on his shoulder, swaying slightly and prepping himself for the battle, ruffling up his feathers to look bigger and flapping wings experimentally.

Samantha paused in her approach, stretching. "Ready, Warren?"
The short bark of the fire puppy signalled he was ready for this as well. It'd been a while since their first battle and the Growlithe was ready to see what he could do this time. He padded forward, nudging her leg with his muzzle.
She smiled back at her friend. "Alright then, let's go." She put on her 'game face,' looking serious as she strode up and gave a short wave to their opponents. "We ready to start this party?"

Kitsu looked up as she approached, then slowly stood and stretched. "We're ready to dance. Shall we?"
Rhun took off from his shoulder, winging in slow circles around the two trainer's heads, keeping a watchful eye on the growlithe.

Backing away, Kitsu let his Pidgey take center stage, across from the growlithe, then put on his usual confident smile, standing firm.
"Rhun, use gust! Get 'im!"
The pidgey started flapping its wings hard, kicking up wind, and hitting the puppy with a small whirlwind.

Warren nodded, stepping forward and warily watching the Pidgey wheeling circles overhead. He growled softly, rolling his shoulders, ready for a good fight.

Warren fought to brace himself against the winds, tumbling back despite his struggles. Climbing to his feet, he shook the dust from his fur and awaited his orders.
"Alright, buddy, hang in there! Let's give that bird a good Bite!"
With a quick nod, the Growlithe dashed forward and leapt, jaws open.

Rhun fell towards the ground, Warren attached to him by the teeth, then pulled himself back up as he lost the extra weight. Flapping his wings faster, he kicked up another gust of wind for the growlithe, now angry.

Snarling, Warren closed his eyes against the dirt and debris in the wind, bracing himself and taking quite a beating anyway. Shaking out his fur once more, his ears twitched as he heard Samantha cheering him on and he lunged forward for another Bite attack. He wasn't going to let some bird beat him.

Thoroughly ruffled up and very upset, Rhun dropped to the ground and charged forwards, putting all the speed he could muster into a tackle attack.
