Walking out onto the battlefield, Kitsu looked around for his opponent, two pokeballs clutched in one hand. Releasing them, they revealed themselves to be a green vulpix and an ocean patterened dratini.

Phoenix stepped out onto the battlefield and saw Kitsu arlready there, with an impressive looking dratini and Vulpix by his side. She gave a small greeting smile and threw out her two pokeballs. Out of one came a growlithe, who seemed to look like nighttime, with silver tail, underfur, chest and tuft on top of his head. The other was almost the exact opposite. A pink slowpoke with drooped eyes, scars, and most of the tail cut off, projecting the pain he had for all to see.
"This'll be fun." She said, bending down and whispering words of encouragement into both pokemon's ears and giving each a final pat, they stepped forward and waited for the other pokemon to step forward.

Nodding to the two pokemon, he stepped backwards, allowing them to take the fore. Their moods were happy, yet at the same time unsure and somewhat wary. Returning Phoenix's nod, he put on his game face and took up posture.
"Tanael! Use quick attack on Rodh!"
Charging forward, the small fox bulled into the slowpoke.
((100% acc, 6.29 avg, rolling crit))

Rodh rolled with the quick attack and jumped right up again. He was fine. Good. Phoenix turned her gaze towards Ithil. "Ithil, use Bite on Rampage, now!" She shrieked at him.
((First roll for critical. Second for flinching. 70-100 is flinching.
Attack does 16 damage regular, 26 critical. OHMYGOD. Is that right?
*checks* That's right!
(Oh, for the battle thing, if it's a special attack, you only have to type in the special attack point. The attack/SA ruins it by using the first number, which is attack for a SA attack. I've checked. Several times.)))

Ithil ran forward and bit into the dratini. Hard. Phoenix held her breath to see if it would flinch. Guess not. Oh well. That hard to hurt. Ithil jumped back after his attack to a 'safe' distance.

Rampage let out a cry of pain as Ithil bit into him, shuddering.
"Rampage, use Twister on Rodh!"
The small dragon built up a small whirlwind and sent it cruising towards the slowpoke.
((100% acc, 20% chance of flinch, 15.21 damage. 1st roll crit, 2nd flinch.))

I was exclaiming over the 16 point thing and was incredibly surprised at the 26 point thing. Because if I got crit, I'd be taking down more than half your points.))

So that was the plan. Take out the slowpoke. Well, most people would've come up with two logical answers on how to respond. One- attack the dratini with confusion in the vain attenpt it'll knock out the dratini. Or two- attack the vulpix with water gun like they didn't know the strategy. Phoenix chose the second one. After all, if Rodh went down, she intended to inflick the most damage possible. "Rodh, watergun the vulpix!"
((100% accuracy, rolling for crit. 21 regular, 33 crit damage.))

Rodh must've had some deep down hatred to the vulpix, from the way it hit. Phoenix could hardly see the green body of the vulpix. Rodh finally ended the watergun attack once he ran out of 'steam' but it had to do a good deal of damage.
