Name: Adelia Lynne Halliwell
Nickname(s): Addi, Deeli, Delia, Lia
Age: 20
Sex: Female
Birthday: May 13th
Zodiac Sign: Taurus
Gemstone: Emerald
Origin: Born in Pennsylvania but moved to Celeste after the death of her mother.
Bloodtype: B+
Height: 5'4

Bodytype: Not skin and bones, Adelia is what she would refer to as a "real woman," one with curves and some meat on her bones. She's a little pale, but she's okay with that.
Hair: Around mid-back, Adelia's hair is a normal kinda mousy brown, but she livens it up with colored streaks sometimes, though it's usually in her favorite color: blue.
Eyes: Round, pinkish purpley.
Fashion: A bit of a tomboy, Adelia wears jeans or cargo pants in neutral colors, tank tops in all colors, and can usually be found in her black boots. Her wrists are always covered, for personal reasons. She likes to wear chains around her neck and has an eyebrow and tongue piercing. She has a ring that she wears, it's her mother's.
Demeanor: Extroverted, but she can just as easily be a wallflower when she wants to be.

Personality Traits
  • Positive
    • Friendly
She makes friends easily and is kind to just about everyone she meets. Outwardly. She has no problems being mean and or nasty to someone who was mean or nasty to her first, but she'll calm down fairly easily. She can be very outgoing and cheerful and happy-go-lucky, but she also has another side that's much calmer and more easy-going. That being said, she won't hesitate to fight if she needs to.
    • Protective
She loves all of her friends and will do anything in her power to keep them safe and happy. This does extend to people she doesn't even know yet, as she believes that all life is sacred (no she is not vegan) and has a purpose and that people have a right to live their lives in peace and relative happiness. She tends to come off as a "big sister" type to friends her age, and can be seen as a "mothering" type to those younger than she is. When it comes to her close girl friends and dating, her favorite catch phrase is "Break her heart and I'll break your legs."
    • Curious
Much like a kitten, Adelia wants to know everything. She doesn't always ask, sometimes she'll just casually get closer until she can hear the conversation. When her friends come to her with situations they need help with, she asks a million different questions and usually ends up frustrating her friends before she helps them.
    • Adaptable
She can fit into just about any situation she's thrown into. Some might give her more difficulty (like being in a ball gown and having to dance, yuck) than others, but she'll get the hang of it and fit right in. She tends to use this to find out things she wants to know, which is well, everything.
    • Agreeable
She generally doesn't have a problem going along with what someone else wants to do. She's happy just being with her friends, so just about any setting or activity is fine with her. This does not mean she doesn't have an opinion. She will put her foot down if there's somewhere she absolutely doesn't want to go, or something she doesn't want to do. She's not a pushover, she just likes to go with the flow.

  • Negative
    • Critical
Did someone call the Fashion Police? No? Well, Adelia's here anyway. Though her own fashion sense can be questionable, she hates to see women in particular in terrible outfits. She does try to keep her thoughts to herself but if she's around friends, more than likely she'll have to point it out to them. Her critical eye does not stop here. When she does things, she expects herself to do them well and will criticize herself and do it over if it's not the way she wanted. In other people, she expects the same thing. She doesn't necessarily want perfect, but she wants things to be presentable and decent.
    • Underachiever
It's not that she doesn't want to succeed. It's that she wants to do it with as little effort as possible. Part of it is because she doesn't always believe in herself the way others do. Another part of it is that, yes, she can be very lazy and would rather do things of her own choosing. She knows she needs to work on this and she tries, but it doesn't always work. If she's interested in the subject then she'll do better in it because she wants to. It's why she chose languages to major in at university, she likes the subject and thus she'll do well in it.
    • Messy
There. Is. No. Order. She lets things lay where they fall usually and her room is like a pit of stuffed animals, knick knacks, and sharp pointy things. She does, however, differentiate between being messy and being filthy. Being filthy is leaving food and dirty dishes and such everywhere and she doesn't do that. She's just messy.
    • Sarcastic
She can come off as being really sarcastic and mean when in reality she's not. Her least favorite question is "Really?" and her immediate answer is always "No, I just told you that so you'd say 'really.'" It's a habit, she says it before she can stop herself.

Hobbies
  • Collecting...Stuff.
She likes to collect anything that catches her eye. Usually shiny, sparkly, glittery things; roses; dragons; sharp pointy things; things associated with her favorite shows...
  • Games
Any kind of games. Board games, tabletops, video games, any kind of game appeals to her.
  • Anime
She loves to watch it and has a LOT of favorites, though most of them she hasn't watched all of the episodes yet. She also tends to switch between them, fangirling over one for a while and then switching to another, then again and again and etc.
  • Music
She loves music, in all of its forms. Though she can't play an instrument, she thinks she has a fairly decent singing voice and can almost always be heard singing to her favorite songs, which can range anywhere from heavy metal to rock to pop to country and everything in between.

Favourite Food: Anything remotely fattening. Chocolate, chips (namely Baked Doritos or Harvest Cheddar Sun Chips), mac n cheese (but only Velveeta). And sweet tea. Never. Not. Sweet tea.
Least Favourite Food: Anything green. Like, salad, veggies. As she got older, she started eating them but only under protest.
Family
  • Father || Edward Halliwell
Adelia's dad is a very winsome kind of guy. He's handsome, despite his age (early 50's), and very fit. He is the owner/manager of his own company: Halliwell Builds, a company that does things like adding onto house, fixing roofs/walls/etc, and building small things such as gazebos, etc. He loves his daughter and spoils her, especially since the loss of his wife, Adelia's mother Vittorianna. His company is very successful, so he can afford to let her go to college while he pays for what she needs. In fact, he prefers this as it allows him to keep a close eye on his daughter. He and Adelia enjoy a very close relationship.
  • Mother || Vittorianna Lynne Halliwell (Maiden: Breitenbach)
Vittorianna, or Vitty as she liked to be called, was a vibrant woman. She was bright and colorful and loved to be around people. She was helpful and personable. She worked as a nurse in the pediatric care center and was the most popular nurse in the unit. She loved children and wanted to have at least four, but after Adelia was born Vitty was diagnosed with leukemia. Despite all doctors' best efforts, she succumbed to the disease when Adelia was twelve.

Celecon is coming up.
You just have to go, right? Video games, anime, science fiction, computers, art, all sorts of creativity and fun around you! The problem is, you don't really have much money at the moment for a ticket. How do you plan on going? Perhaps you have a table you can hold, and you gather up things to sell--or perhaps create? Perhaps you gain a temporary job, and you toil through it? Babysitting woes? Perhaps you try to create costumes for others--even if you don't have the money for yourself?
Or perhaps you have another way to get in?

It had been about a week since Adelia had heard of Celecon, and there was about a month left to go until it began. And she had a problem. She couldn't afford her ticket. Not without asking her dad, and even though he'd happily pay for whatever she wanted, Adelia wanted to do this herself. Her dad had enough to worry about with his company and employees without worrying about what his daughter wanted money for. So she'd spent a week figuring it out. She scoured the bulletin boards at school looking for some way to get money together to buy her ticket.

And then, she saw it. It had been halfway covered by other posters advertising books for sale, but there were three letters that caught her attention. C-O-N. She tore the paper off the board and what she read made her literally squee. Several people looked at her funny but she really didn't care. She had a way to get into Celecon! Running home to her apartment, she hurriedly brought up the Celecon website and followed the directions on the flyer, taking to herself the whole time.

"C'mon c'mon you slow thing! Move faster!" she urged her laptop though there was nothing wrong with its speed. "Home...tickets....THEREITIS!" she squealed and hurriedly filled out the form hoping in her heart of hearts that she wasn't too late.

One agonizing week later, Adelia finally received her confirmation email and it sent her dancing and jumping around her room, squealing in happiness. She had her ticket in and it would be there, waiting for her when the con opened in three weeks.

Except...her's was just a little different than what most people's tickets would look like. Her's was black, in a size large, and had "Celecon Staff" written on it in big block letters on the back. She had managed to snag a position working at the con! She wouldn't be paid for it obviously, except for her ticket into the con itself. She would be working at the booths in the front, getting everyone else's tickets for them as they walked in to get their badges and what not. It meant she had to be there early but she really didn't care. SHE WAS GOING TO THE CON! And she'd done it herself, without any assistance from her dad. All told, she was pretty damn proud of herself.

Once she'd worn herself out a little, she sat back down at her computer and re-read the email, making sure to get all the details right so she would be able to do everything right once she got there. This would be AMAZING.

The only snag, possibly, would be when she'd be able to wear her costume...ah well. That's what backpacks were for. She'd fold it up and stow it in the bag until she was released from her duties and allowed to wander around as just another con-goer.
