ouo hey y'all x3 Had some questions and figured we could use this as a place to discuss stuff about the colony :3

Wasn't sure where else I could do this, so welcome to my guild! haha~

SO. here are my questions x3

1a. Naming convention! How do we want to go about it in regards to certing? Similar to Wind tribe, where they get a nickname in parentheses? Orrr just the name they'll get once they ride the storm for the first time?
1b. Language/origin theme, yes/no? ouo

2. Contest~ Anything and everything x3 I know we said we wanted to have a place for entrants to come up with their own tradition, but what else do we want to ask for? ouo

....okay I think that's all I've got so far x3

Excellent questions!
I was thinking about the naming convention myself. Is it possible to update their name on the cert once they've grown to adulthood? Or we could just apply for new names on the cert once they've earned them?

As for language/theme... How about Elven?

As for the contest, I've been setting up a little in my own private guild. But I've just got a post with all of our cubs up, with personality, and what Council position they'll have in the Colony. Just an information blurb, really. We'll want to know what "Those Who ____" position they'll fill obviously. As for rp prompts, how about "A large tree limb (think house sized) has fallen and blocked off one of the main routes the Colony uses to move about the tree. You're one of the first on the scene. How do you handle this emergency?"

I think I like Renestrae for my girl....maybe Ren or Rene for short P:
I'm okay with either option in regards to how we put their names on the certs x3

I like that prompt x3
What about a free for all prompt? I just like giving that option usually, but we don't have to ouo
(also because prompt-making is so not my strong suit rofl x3)

We could offer a few inspirational words for entrants to choose from, sort of like a drabble?

It looks like we can update names once they've grown, because there's a form for changing info/making a correction.
But I was thinking that it makes more work for Cait, since as far as I've seen she's the only certist ono
So what do you think of giving them both names at once? Like for barn owl, she'd be Black Eyes "Renestrae" or vice versa, or however we decide to do it ou
