prompt 1 : Wishing Tree Hanako Tone ──*̥˚───❀*̥˚─ Why was it so hard to wish for something that wasn’t for self-gain? Thought the selfish guy, who had been staring at a blank sheet or paper for 10 minutes by now. Just as the tip of the charcoal in his pencil scraped against the paper, he pulled it back hesitating. “ Urgh, this is precisely why I don’t do this”, he sighed, leaning against the seat of the bench he sat on while he was going through this whole ordeal. Coming here without a date blows. There were only a handful of times where Hanako decided to participate in the Wishing Tree part of the festival. And every time he tries to do it, it seems to be harder and harder for him to think of something to write. It was like a fog shrouded his thinking. He didn’t even want to think about how he was meant to grant another wish later.

”What is precisely why you don’t do this?” a voice asked as a sandy-blonde young man of somewhat short stature came up to the black-haired one. His light pink eyes wandered over to the paper on which the stranger had barely made a mark before he giggled. “Oh! Are you having trouble coming up with a wish?” he asked, smiling at the paper. “It can be hard if you’re happy with everything you have. But if you can’t think of one for someone else to grant, why don’t you try to think of something for yourself to grant? Like improving yourself?”
He took a piece of paper of his own from the blank ones by the tree and borrowed a pen to write his own wish. It took him a while to think about what to write, however. Eventually, he put, ’I wish that everyone could feel a little less lonely.’ Then he placed it on the tree, hanging it on a low branch. Next to the stack of papers meant for wishes to be written on them were a variety of star charms for people to take, so Leiko picked out a Sapphire Star Charm, thinking about how Tymiko might have liked it if he gave it to her back at their apartment. Smiling at it and the way it caught the light, he pocketed it to gift it later. Blue, even if not this particular blue, was still her favorite color if he recalled correctly. And if she didn’t like it, he could always give it to Kit instead who he knew would appreciate it and the gesture regardless of anything else.
“Want to pick a star charm out?” Leiko asked the black-haired young man before realizing he looked familiar. That was right; he’d seen him before. He was that young man from the convenience store he’d sent a Mirrorwraith to steal energy from one night! It was a good thing magical glamour protected people from identifying powered-up beings as civilians because he would have had reason to be a great deal more embarrassed. Not only for not having recognized the other fellow immediately, but for having stolen his energy. Not that the guy had had to know his energy had been stolen, but it had still made Leiko guilty and ashamed of himself regardless.
It was so much easier to steal energy from people when you didn’t know them. Unfortunately, he had found that out the hard way when he had gotten involved, trying to help the other young man with his groceries once he had been too drained of energy to even hold onto the bags. The more he got to know him, the worse he’d felt about what he’d done. After that night, he hadn’t thought he would have ever had to run into that young man again. And maybe he wouldn’t have if his air-headed self hadn’t decided to stroll on over and talk to the familiar-looking fellow who had been talking and sighing to himself. That was what he got for being so brainless and not paying enough attention to who he was talking to before he talked to them.

Hanako stopped writing to look up at the other with a slightly surprised, but curious gaze. Odd, he seemed familiar but Hanako coudn't put his finger on it. Oh who cares. He was cute, blonde hair and pink eyes He didn't really need to answer the other's question when the other already saw the blank paper and guessed correctly. " Well, the problem is there's not really any need to improve something that's already perfection isn't it?" he smirked haughtily, brushing the slight of his hair to the side like it was a practiced movement to emphasize his point. " If anything people would benefit more to their overall life experience if they were a little more like me" he shrugged. Hanako watched at the other went to easily write his wish. He was half tempted to get up from where he sat to peek at what the other thought off. But decided it might be better to be a question he asks later. Momentarily distracted, he merely watched the other apologetically as the other hang their wish on a tree. Perhaps even at places that were a bit inappropriate. But if its less than 5 seconds, it doesn't count. At least that's what Hanako thought. His eyes finally going from the others lower half to his light pink eyes when he mentioned the charms. " Hm... I'm not that interested in those little things" he said, decided to stand up- paper and pen in one hand and made his way closer to the stranger, looking at the assortment of charms on display. Eyeing it for a moment before glancing at the blue one the stranger had in his hands. " And you? Picking that out for yourself or someone special?"

"Oh. Why don't you wish people were a little more like you, then? But maybe you should be specific about what part of you you want them to be more like so they know what to try to be like when they try to grant your wish."
Leiko didn't notice when Hanako watched him, nor when his gaze lingered on certain parts of him. He was too busy trying to hang his wish on the tree. Once he was finished, he met the other young man's gaze again only to hear that the guy wasn't interested in the star charms.
Then he was asked about the star charm he had picked up. "Oh, there's just a roommate at home who I thought would like this," he explained with a laugh. "She couldn't come because she was busy with something, so I thought I could bring a little piece of the star festival to her!"

Hanako ' Hana' Tone └── •✿• ──┘ " Oh should I?" He was amused by the suggestion. A world of Hanako's ? What a miserable state the world would be in. Still, it was a funny suggestion, he thought. Even if he thought about it seriously, it was a hard question to ask. What was a thing about him that he felt people would be better of having as well, and it wasn't something a therapist would raise their eyebrow at? " She ... likes collecting random things off the ground?" he hummed, curious. " That's nice of you to think of her. You didn't want it for yourself?"

"If that's what you would really wish for, why not? Go for it!" Leiko encouraged brightly.
When Hanako asked about collecting random things off the ground, the blond looked at the star charm in his hand, then back at Hanako. "Oh, no, this star charm was from that table over there where you get the paper for your wishes," he explained. "There are plenty of others over there if you'd like one! And there are so many different colors! Want me to get you one, too?"
Laughing, he added, "Ty does like collecting random things off the ground, though. Especially if they're colorful or shiny."

Hanako ' Hana' Tone └── •✿• ──┘ He laughs. " Didn't notice on the way here. I did find one of those things but the last one I saw one and picked it up it was from the ground. " He tilted his head at the suggestion, an amused smirk on his face. " Sure~. What colour would you think suit me?" " Oh a collector~ Hahah, well that makes sense. Your roomate Ty was it? .. Is her spirit animal a Bowerbird or something? "

"So you pick them up off the ground yourself?" the short blond laughed. "Well, they are really pretty and catch people's eyes. It'd be hard to just leave it lying on the ground if you found one there."
He studied Hanako for a bit as he tried to think of a good color that would suit him. "Maybe...purple? You hold yourself very regally and Ty told me purple was historically a royal or noble color because only royals and nobles could afford purple dye."
Grinning, Leiko asked, "What's a bowerbird? A bird that collects things? Her brother Kit and I like to tease that she's like a hoarding dragon with all the bright, colorful, and shiny things she likes to collect, from napkins to coins to bottle caps. Do you like to collect things too?"

Hanako ' Hana' Tone └── •✿• ──┘ " Exactly! You get me" he laughed back, lighthearted. " Hm.. do I?", Hanako seemed surprised at the suggestion. " Is that a nice way to say I look pretty arrogant?" he teases with a smirk. " You're too sweet, really" " Oh yeah hahah, dragon seems pretty suitable for someone like that. Is it really anything colourful and shiny? I merely judged from that" He points to the pocket that held the sapphire star charm. " seems like something a bowerbird would like to pick up. They love shiny things too. Specifically colorful things. Only if they were blue though. So I wondered if that was her favourite colour or something. Bowerbirds like to pick up blue items as a courtship ritual. Unless... I was totally wrong and you just picked a random colour. And any shiny thing would do" he laughs with a shrug.

"Aww, thank you! But regal isn't arrogant," Leiko answered, laughing. "I guess an arrogant person can be regal or a regal person can be arrogant. But I just meant you seem regal. Like elegant and stuff. Fancy. Like a royal or noble." Giggling, he added, "If you want more people to be like you, maybe I'll try to be more regal, too!"
The blond looked thoughtful at the question of whether it was really anything colorful and shiny. "Well...she mostly likes bright blue stuff, so yeah, a bowerbird would definitely fit her if they like blue stuff, too. But she also likes iridescent stuff," he added. "If there are a lot of colors of something, like these star charms, she likes collecting them all. Kit, too. He likes a lot of colors together." Leiko snickered. "I don't think they collect them for rituals, though."
He looked back at the paper and pen in the young man's hands, he asked, "Did you think of what to write, yet? You could say you wish more people were regal like you! Or thoughtful, since you put a lot of thought into your wish before writing anything."

Entertained, he laughed along the other boy. " My bank account certainly would love to be as abundant in resources as much as a royal and noble does.. " he smirked at their suggestion. " Aww but you'd be less 'you' if you did that. A kings court is a lot more livelier with it's jester. And you - good-looking-stranger, definitely liven up my day. And others such as your roomates. So really - stay like this". He shrugs. " Ohoho I was mostly right " he laughs. " I sure hope not. Collecting blue things as a ' will you date me?' tactic works better on birds than they do on people. Most of the time" he laughs. " Ah" He had almost forgotten about that. He looked down on the paper, scribbled something down and grinned with a nod. " T hanks to you, I have. Thank you, good-looking-jester".

Leiko giggled at Hanako's comment about his bank account and again when he called him good-looking and said he and his roommates livened up his day. "I'm so glad," the blond answered gleefully, grateful for the compliment. "Alright, then; I'll take your advice."
The mention of collecting blue things as a 'will you date me?' tactic also earned a laugh. "Well, that's good, because I don't think Tymiko plans to date anyone anytime soon."
Beaming at the other young man's thanks, Leiko clasped his hands behind his back and rocked back and forth on his heels. "Happy to help!" he chuckled. "I'm Leiko, by the way. What's your name?"

" Leiko " he repeats, with a small smile. Getting of his bench to offer the now-not-stranger a hand shake. Though if the other allowed it, Hanako would attempt to take the hand, and angle it to kiss it as a gentleman would, bowing down slightly. " Mine's Hanako~ But you can call me Hana. Pleased to meet you. I'm now curious how to repay you back for helping me with my little dilemma of not knowing what to write on the wishing tree. Any ideas you want to suggest?" he quizzed, still holding his hand if the other hadn't decided to pull away first.

The blond did, indeed, raise his hand to try to shake Hanako's, but he was taken aback by the noiret's kissing of his hand as he bowed slightly, looking puzzled. He didn't seem to understand Hanako's purpose for doing such a thing because the only people Leiko knew who did stuff like that were fairytale princes to fairytale princesses. But then he thought maybe Hanako was doing it to show of more of his regality and laughed.
"You don't have to repay me, silly! Just try to make another wish on the tree come true! That's what we're supposed to do, right?" He allowed Hanako to continue holding his hand, though he did feel a little awkward considering he knew he was no princess. "Um...I'd ask what you wished for, but they say if you tell, then it won't come true. So don't tell me, okay?"
