How do I use it? Is there a thread somewhere with detailed instructions. I was able to start my entry and even dress her, but I can't figure out how to post my entry.

ThoughtsofaDame shared a guide that you may find helpful here
In avatar builder, I save the image to my computer, crop & resize it, then upload it to an image hosting site (I personally use imgur). After that, just right click and copy the image location to use in your post.
