A break from work, from whatever that cat wanted him to do, and from thinking, that was what Rafayel needed. There had been some sort of club that had opened, lumina or something, he couldn’t really remember, as he popped a few things out of his tin and chased them with a shot from the bar. The music was loud enough so that it drowned out his thoughts as he could feel the vibrations in the air.
There were people dancing, some of whom he could tell looked like his type, but something told him this place was too new for him to play his tricks on the other guests. Everything seemed too nice, too new, and probably watched way too well. A buzzkill for his plan of sleeping around, but as he ordered another drink, one that seemed to fluoresce under the blacklight that shone above the dancefloor, maybe that was okay enough. It was frustrating, though, he couldn’t deny that. But he wasn’t going to give any more thought to the Blaise issue, even as the pills kicked in and everything seemed to haze at the edges. The world around him felt more than it looked, and while he was out like this, that feeling of bugs crawling seemed to be gone for now as well.
Bumping into someone as he moved towards the dancefloor, drink in hand, he smiled widely. “Sorry bout that~”

Lumina was not where he should be, not where he normally would be, but he’d needed to pick up a shift to gather some energy and make some money and so he’d come here, as the other club didn’t have any open shifts for the night. So far he’d been collecting energy, and dropping the lights sticks off as he collected them from people, the place was a blast as he moved through the crowd of people.
Flirting here and there, winking at a customer as he took their glow stick which no longer worked, he took his time and even had a drink with a customer at the bar. So far it was all going good, and he was minding himself as best he could, he was not going to come home drunk and upset his partner.
Moving around a dancer, a hand brushing their waist, he was nearly walked into by someone. Jumping, if only just a bit, the dark haired male shook his head. “It’’s fine, no worries.”

Looking at them a bit more closely, at least enough to tell that they were a guy with dark hair, too, he laughed. “At least I didn’t spill my drink, they’re good here, yeah?” Lifting it up as he took another sip, the glow it gave off from the black lights made it taste better somewhere in the loose, floating thoughts in his head.
“Do you come here often? Also, what are all these lightsticks I see?” He hadn’t grabbed one just yet as he was focused mainly on the drinks first. He hadn’t gone to any venue or concert that used them before, so aside from the mild curiosity about them, he was fine, just enjoying the onslaught of lights and sounds that helped scramble the thoughts that had been bothering him earlier. No need to think about them when he could feel the music.

“I’m not drinking tonight - I’m working.” He’d had one drink, a single fruity thing that was more juice than alcohol, but he didn’t need to mention that one drink he’d had. “They are good though, if I wasn’t working.” Shrugging, let them take it however they wanted, they looked a bit… out of it perhaps? Maybe it was the energy drain, he didn’t know how long they’d been here or if they’d had a glow stick earlier…maybe two even.
Ah, and there they were asking about them. So they were new to the place and likely hadn’t been drained yet. “They hand those out to everyone, people enjoy them.” And he worked here, as he said, so of course he was here somewhat often…or at least he could be. He did prefer the other club, it kept things more peaceful between himself and his spouse. “I can get you a glow stick if you want.” And he could always get them another drink, once they finished the currant one they had.

Offering a flirty pout at the mention of them working and not drinking, that meant he couldn’t try to get them to follow him for some fun. “Well damn, sounds pretty lame that you can’t enjoy everything fully if you’re working.” Finishing the rest of his drink in one gulp, he swayed slightly to the beat and offered them up the glass as well.
“Glowstick and another drink? Make it strong, please~” With a wink and another look over them, he sighed as he shivered from that little bit of chill that went through him from how cold the drink had been when he’d chugged it. So far, he hadn’t recognized anyone, which was good.

“Can’t be drunk and working, it would make doing the job difficult.” Nearly impossible really, plus he wasn’t about to return home drunk, Akito knew better than to go home drunk. Plucking the empty glass from the other Akito nodded his head slowly. “It is a shame, but it is fine. It’s work and people don’t get to drink on the job.” It made working difficult, for obvious reasons.
“Same drink or something else?” He questioned, already pleased that he’d be getting them a light stick, grabbing some more energy for the Negaverse was a good thing for him. He was pleased to talk someone into getting a light stick, and giving up some of their energy.

While what they said might be true in some professions, he knew his fair share of cooks and chefs who had more than a few drinks in them while running dinner service. Waving his hand to dismiss what they were saying, he laughed before swaying a little more with the music as it changed songs to one with a higher bpm.
“Surprise me~ Just make sure it’s strong, alright?” He’d stay out of the mass of people until he got that drink and one of those lightsticks; they seemed neat enough. All the blurs of colors were certainly something to look at, even if he couldn’t make anything out super clearly in that crowd.

“Sounds good, I’ll be right back.” And with a nod of his head Akito headed off for the bar, intent upon helping the client in getting what they wanted. The order was placed with one of the bar tenders, a female who he knew was an officer, before he went to get one of the glowsticks from the stockpile of new ones, grabbing the glowstick he went to retrieve the drink that was bright and sweet smelling. It did look, and smell, good but he couldn't drink tonight while working.
Drink and light stick in hand he made his way towards the other, who had thankfully kept out of the crowd, and stepping in front of them he offered the drink before snapping the light stick and giving it a proper shake so it fluoresced. “Here you are, I told the bartender something strong and sweet. If you need anything else come find me, I’ll make sure you’re well taken care of tonight.”

Time seemed to drag on as he waited for his drink, though it really hadn’t been long at all. The song had only just changed when they returned with a drink and lightstick. Blinking and looking at the thing as they cracked it and got it glowing, he nodded and took both the glass and lightstick from the man.
“Thanks~ I can do that.” With everything he needed, and another smile at the cute worker, he walked into the mass of people and let everything else fade into the background. It was easier to not think about things, to not focus on the predicament he was in when it came to both his personal and whatever he would call his magical life.
All that mattered right now were the glowing lights and the beat of the music.
