Sappho honestly sort of liked just chilling in parks, draining energy. She knew some of her fellow Dark Mirrors were more casual about it, but she liked to at least stay a little alert while she was chilling. Blair's life was Blair's; while she was Sappho, she wanted to be focused.
So she could feel another aura nearby; definitely from the other side, which made it sort of an awkward situation, but hey, maybe if she was nice, she could just...walk away and it would be totally easy and chill. That sounded fantastic, she could definitely do that.
"Hey," she called out, and she really hoped whoever this was didn't know what a Mirrorwraith was, or what to do if they saw one scurrying back to its Senshi to dive into its mirrorshard. As long as the energy made it where it needed to go, though, Sappho figured that was probably a win.

Kom El Shoqafa honestly wasn’t quite sure what he should be doing on patrol – he oftentimes got caught up in taking care of his students and their studies before anything else, so it was easy to see he wasn’t exactly the most experienced Knight despite how long he’d been aware of things. He knew what he sensed wasn’t something good, but that was about the extent of what he actually knew. Should he stop whatever is going on? Probably. Would he? That remained to be seen. When there were youmas around, that was easy enough to know ‘hey stop that before it gets worse’. But things that were more subtle… Well. No one said he was perfect. So when the other person called out, he couldn’t help but get closer, taking in their surroundings and being alert and on guard without overtly looking so. After all, not every conflict needed to be solved with violence, even if that was what he was arguably better at. “Hey there. What are you doing?” His weapon was present, but held in one hand hanging by his side, rather than upright and ready to strike. Prepared, but not aggressive. Perfect. (...right? Right?)

Good, good, this was starting off better than Sappho had feared. No weapons being shaken at her, no immediate threats, no nonsense that she would have to run from. (Which would be miserable and she didn't wanna.)
"Uh, well," she said, torn between lying and being honest when it might make him mad, "borrowing? A little energy off the top? From some people?" If she looked sufficiently cute and innocent, maybe she could get out of here with no further problems. That sounded like an absolute dream, just a nice little chat with someone on the other side and then she got to walk away.
Without even having to use her magic!
"But really, it's totally harmless, I can't even take all that much, so it's not really hurting anybody." Obviously!! It was so cool and fine, and everyone just needed to be chill about it.
"So there is totally nothing to see here, Mister Knight Man, and you can go and look for real threats. Like the Negaverse! They're mega awful, wayyy more trouble than us Dark Mirrors."

Shoqafa hummed to himself. It was true that there were larger threats than this, but… “Those people haven’t consented to having their energy taken. That’s still stealing, which isn’t really a good look for you and yours.” He was alert, ready to shift into something more…aggressive, but he still didn’t. Not yet. “Even if it doesn’t actively harm them, having less energy can cause people to falter and fall or otherwise hurt themselves. So I’d suggest you think twice before doing so again. If it’s truly harmless, then you’d surely be able to get volunteers for such things.” …that sounded ridiculous even to his own ears, but he wasn’t entirely wrong, was he? The idea of asking to take energy for whatever it was the Dark Mirror needed it for was almost comical. “And I’d also suggest you wrap things up now and leave. I won’t be so kind if I catch you doing this again.”

Apparently, this Knight was not snowed by her very genuine, super duper heartfelt pleas. That was probably fair. People really did get all in their feelings about energy draining, which was, to her, sort of ridiculous. Nobody needed to make a whole thing of it! It was just a little off the top! People were fine! So what if somebody tripped a little!
But she knew how to act, and she knew how to make herself very demure, and so she stood up, dusting off her skirts, and moved to the back of the bench, casually putting it between herself and him.
"Totally heard, good sir knight," she said, putting her hands up in surrender. "I'm leaving, I am out of your way, I will leave the good people of the city unbothered for the evening."
Well, the goods people of this part of the city. She'd definitely find somewhere else to pick back up. But he definitely did not need to know that, since he clearly had a whole moral Thing going on.
"Good night and good luck to you in...whatever you guys do."

The evening was realistically all he could hope for. He hoped that maybe, just maybe, she wouldn’t do this again for a while now that the threat of action was out there. His eyes remained on her, watching as she stood and put distance between them – smart. He was a threat, after all, even as he tried to be as non-threatening as can be, and they were on opposite sides in this whole mess. Note to self: investigate what the Dark Mirrors are. Are they less of a threat than the Negaverse, or are they just as bad?His intel wasn’t the greatest, given his track record of being busy with other things so often, but he would sniff this out so next time, whether it was this girl or another, he’d truly know how proactive he should be, and if peace would continue to be an option, or should combat be used a bit more… “Good night, and please…consider what you do in the future.” He had to have hope that he could convince others without violence. Violence should be the last option, always. Still an option, but…the last. Fin.
