With the air warming and the season picking up thanks to Easter and all the other spring festivities that came alongside it, Leitner found himself out and wandering with his wraiths under a different type of influence. The bar had sent him off, saying he’d had one too many even though he could manage just fine if you asked him.

The street lights buzzed too loudly, though, and as he walked with no particular hurry to his pace, he idly watched the wraiths as they sped on ahead to find whatever energy and people they would be draining. It was easier than he’d thought originally, even if he didn’t like most of this magic.

The anonymity of it was useful, though; he could get away with things that he might get called out for due to his family name while powered down. So what if he pickpocketed a few people or snatched a few things that were left on outdoor restaurant tables, nobody could exactly trace it back to him.

It was all a distraction anyway, even if he wouldn’t admit it. He’d purposefully avoided Melpomene, Hedwig, and by no small effort, Desiree.

Easter had come and with it flowers were in bloom and people were out and about, and oh so happy, it was mildly annoying as he disliked so many people being around. He’d started going out later when he powered up, he did not want to stand out but he also did not want to deal with so many people and the noise they made. While he couldn’t go to his homeworld right now, he’d been up recently, Novella was in no mood to be home and thought it safer to be out and about while powered up. At least this way he could protect himself if need be, which he hoped would not be the case.

He wasn’t just idle though, he was rarely idle infact, he was seated on a bench in a small park that was right across the street from some shops and cafes. The park, if one wished to call it that, really was just a small area that would take all of five minutes to walk thru, but it was peaceful and he was sitting with a notebook and pencil as he worked out ideas on solar panels for his wonder. It was his latest project, something he needed to sort out, he needed power in that place if he planned to find a way to live there even part time. The one night he’d spent there had been proof enough of that, the amount of times he’d smacked into things was astonishing. He’d work on water somehow as well, because he needed running water for so many reasons, but in the meantime the back of his notebook he was going over ideas for water collection and filtration - it had to rain there on occasion and he wanted to take advantage of it.

There was also an idea, a concept really, of setting up a water system and a timer so he could tend to plants. But that would be harder to work on, or more time consuming, and he knew it. Plants didn’t get fed on a timer per se, not really, it depended on how dry or moist the soil was. So you could figure it would be every few days but various variables could and would change that. Meaning he’d need something to monitor the soil moisture content and then trigger a watering for the plant. He’d need sensors, chips, a whole set up. He wasn’t sure he could manage it but he was willing to try - for his wonder. He would make it work…he had to.

So caught up in his work was he that he didn’t notice, or sense, the chaos aura nearby. An aura that was as strong as his own, and might just bring danger his way, as he sat writing ideas and sketching in the notebook that was perched open in his lap.

When his wraiths happened upon someone, Leitner wasn’t surprised. But what did surprise him was how they seemed to be caught up in something and hadn’t bothered with trying to stop his wraiths or his wandering.

Walking closer, as he looked over the person sitting down and flipping through a notebook, he tilted his head and almost instantly regretted it as the world spun slightly. Letting out a groan as he pulled a hand to his mouth, he wouldn’t exactly say he regretted the amount he drank, but he wasn’t exactly enjoying the fact that he was a bit nauseous.

Oh, someone was here and of course the feeling told him it was chaos. Why were they always bothering him? Lifting his head and eyeing them, raising a brow even, they seemed unwell and that really didn’t bother him. The fact they were unwell didn’t bother him, didn’t garner sympathy, but rather he settled for closing his notebook and standing. Sending the notebook to subspace while he held his walking stick.

“I hope you aren’t planning on causing trouble for me, that really wouldn’t go well for you.” Seeing as they already seemed unwell, and he didn’t like being interrupted, he would make their night even more unwell if need be. He had been trying to plan things for his wonder, and he took such things seriously, so having someone interrupt it was bothersome and deserving of punishment.

They looked like a bona fide dandy from what he could tell, and as they insinuated a fight, he couldn’t help but laugh at the babyfaced whatever they were. “Just doing what I do, unless you have a problem with those?” Nodding only slightly down to the wraith as it circled and drained the younger male.

While he still felt sick, part of him wanted to poke the bear and bother them if only for his own entertainment for a moment. Whatever he could do to not think about things or the real ongoing issues in his life.

“And you’d think I'd have no problem with it?” Were they an idiot? As if he’d be alright with his own energy being drained from his person. Shaking his head he drew close enough to take a swig at the other with his walking stick. They had looked unwell…and something told him that his magic might just make that worse, might help him, and while he’d never used his magic before the squire wasn’t one to go against his own instincts either.

Not one to care for others, or how they felt or were doing, Novella had no problem in focusing his magic as he was close enough to the other for it to work on them. “You really should recall your beasts.”

Shrugging slightly, he breathed out that haze as they’d gotten up. When the swing came at him, he managed to grab at their arm and dig his nails in. “Can you feel it? Just like I do?” Swaying slightly, he started to feel like he’d had another few rounds of liquor in him.

He’d already been close to heaving, and as they talked about him recalling the wraiths, he turned his head to the side and gagged as the world swam. “********.” He could see one of the wraiths heading off to find a less feisty target, which was fine enough with him.

“Well, there goes one. ********> Holding their wrist tight still, he started to lean as the world kept spinning.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Can you feel it?

Leitner exhales over his palms as he speaks his magic, a sickening haze seeming to spread from him and can affect all enemies within radius. It clings to him closest, but if he comes in contact with someone or scratches them, then the effects truly begin. A moderate infestation overtakes them: the sensation of a moderate itching beneath the skin, almost like crawling insects, followed by a feeling that something rotten has taken hold even deeper into their core, something that can't be cured or removed. When breathing, they may taste rot or mold. It may even appear like the black marks or sores are spreading as if everything is sinking deeper into them. Players may choose to have their senshi have any psychological effects if they have issues related to bugs or things of that nature. There is the sensation of mild damage this time on the skin or if the contact point is in the mouth, then it can potentially go a bit further back down the throat. But otherwise, anything deeper would not be due to the magic but standard physical contact. When the magic fades, players may choose to take lasting damage or retain a lingering grey or black taint/color on their skin, similar to mold or sores from an infection, at the contact point for a short while after the battle. Players may also choose to have this damage scar.

Oh, it really seemed like his magic could mess someone up - what joy. He would have rolled his eyes if it wasn’t for the others' magic. Novella didn’t know at first that the other had used his magic, it was hard to tell for him, but when the magic took hold he knew for sure. It started with itching his arm, one and then the other, soon he was itching both arms but the feeling wasn’t going away. It felt like his skin was crawling and he had to scratch to get rid of it, only it wasn’t working.

Silently cursing the senshi he kept hold on his magic as long as he could, if he was going to suffer so would they. Whatever this magic was he felt off, aside from the insistent crawling feeling that had him scratching. He was, unknown to Novella at the moment, leaving marks on his skin as he was scratching. The marks were a greyish green coloring that wa spreading under his sleeves, which did a great job of covering things up, but he could taste what he smelled sometimes when around plants after a rain - mildew or mold…it was gross and had him stepping back from the other.

Whatever their magic was he wanted no damn part in it, even if it meant breaking off his own magic attack, he used his walking staff to smack the other once more before withdrawing.

Seeing the younger man scratch all over their arms, he felt mildly validated by how he did the same. It wasn’t just him who sought to scratch the itch and bugs away, even if it did more harm than good. But that thought was stopped as a smack from their cane sent him tipping the rest of the way over.

The ground was hard, but the abrupt stop ceased the world’s spinning, and he heaved out his lunch before scooting back a bit. The tide of drunkenness had ebbed, and he felt like s**t, but the same level of s**t he’d been at earlier in the evening. That was something he could work with and did so as he took his time and got up off the ground once they were gone.

He swayed only once more, like a man out at sea, then he turned down towards the next alley to head through a mirror home. He’d had enough for the night and really just wanted to not deal with anything.
