The rift was a place he'd visited often in the past, knew some areas like the back of his hand, but there were areas he rarely visited. One of those areas was the old colosseum that was busted up and had seen far better days; in ancient times. It was a place where he'd attended a tournament, and lost, he wasn't surprised that if he was going to lose it was to another ranged weapon user. Close in fights he could keep at a distace, most of the time, given his weapons nature. Now Chalcanthite had a secondary weapon and it was best suited for close in fighting, something he could handle, it was something he needed to attain for himself.. It would be a good idea to have another weapon option, and to surprise those who only knew him for having a spear.
Standing there, in the center of the large space, the general took his time to look around. He felt small, that this area and things in general were so much larger than he was, this place had lasted for so long and he wondered if standing in some ancient building in Europe would feel similar.
Shakign his head as he pulled his weapon from subspace, letting it hang at his side as he held it in his right hand. He'd come here to train, to practice, it wasn't something he did often but as fights slowed down he needed to find some way to keep in shape - this was it.

"Looking for a youma of your own?" Wolframite was walking down the stairs of the arena from the spectator pews as he noticed Beni at the center. Usually when any officer came here, it was to either train or, more often than not, see if they could find a personal youma of their own. It was a open invitation to the populace of the Rift if they wanted to partner up and return to service from the by-gone days when they used to serve Earth. Many youma had either lost their mental fortitude to be able to be of any use in combat while others simply had long since retired from their form-changing loss to want to go back.
But a few, either dutiful or spiteful, came to find a officer willing to bond with them and resume their vengeance against the senshi. It was a beautiful union of the past and present meeting together and joining in a team bond by mutual self-sacrifice and want to really see the senshi suffer. And well, anyone White-moon adjacent.
Hoping down from the stands to the ground of the arena, he looked about at the many empty rows dotted here and there by a few meandering youma either lured in by the energy signature or having taken up residence in the colosseum itself.

"I should be, and I will soon enough." But he'd need a youma that was right, that fit him, he didn't want something like an insect or worse...a spider. the idea of a spider youma, the memory, had him shuddering where he stood. He did need one though, it had been a long time since he'd had a youma, the idea of bonding to one again was...both tempting and a worry. He knew the pain he'd suffer if anything happened to it; final death. He'd felt the pain once and te idea of it happening again made him weary but so few could kill a youma for good. He should be safe. If he picked one which wasn't humanoid, like Bazzite had been, than he should be safe...it wouldn't purify or leave his service.
"But more to the point I could use some time to train. Order has been silent, the war itself has been silent, and it leads to stagnation...a terrible thing to fall to. To allow ones skills to be dulled by the peace will leave one a victim in time; when things pick up again. I'd rather not become a victim to order; I'd much rather be a sharpened blade that takes them out." And runs the city red with their blood.
"The idea of a bonded youma is tantalizing due to the potential of a secondary weapon, something which would come in handly especially if it was a close in weapon, but training myself is the main reason for the visit here." His pale eyes were focused on the other, though he had taken note of the few youma in the area, he wasn't so surprised by them. He knew his signature would gain some attention, maybe this day would end with more than just some training done...even if that was the whole point of things. If it were to happen he doubted he'd have much say in the matter, youma tended to pick who they wanted and not the other way around, he could only hope that if it happened it would be something with some smarts about it and a violent sftreak as well. Something that wanted to tae out order, not just take his orders, he'd rather one who knew what it wanted - order dead. He just had to hope it wouldn't be smart enough, too smart, like Bischofite's had been.
