Leitner hadn’t tried reaching out to Melpomene since everything had happened, so when he finally worked up the nerve to message Desiree first, he sat on the guest bed and stared. Letting her know he wanted to ask Melpomene about the odd crystal he’d found in mirror space, assuring her he had been draining people like he was supposed to. Then he got the response he’d hoped for. To meet in the common area in Mirror space.
Keeping his phone on him as he powered up, he stared at the full-length mirror on the back of the bathroom door. Just step through; he could do it; this wasn’t a trap. Chalcanthite couldn’t get there unless Melpomene knew about things. At least he hoped they wouldn’t be there as he stepped into the mirror.
Keeping his eyes closed for a moment, he felt anxious over whether or not the general would be here. But when the empty hallways met him, he took time to find his way and tried to keep his hands from shaking.

Liam had not been expecting the request, he had no reason to expect it, the dark mirror senshi seemed tied to working with Hedwig. That wasn’t a problem, not in the slightest, it was a good thing as the two were close enough in rank and could easily help each other. Not to mention it seemed they had some common…hobbies, if Dessire’s words were anything to go by.
He’d asked Dessire to send an agreement, to the meeting, to his fellow dark mirror and than Liam had made plans. He’d worked his schedule around it and told Aloysius that he’d been asked to mirror space by another of his own - to show them around and teach them. He didn’t mention who, he wasn’t asked, it was his court and something he needed to handle. He was an eternal and while he didn’t get involved in many things, not like others did, but he was still an eternal and had earned his rank - he knew more than enough about mirror space and the mirror scape. He didn’t know if he would be showing both areas; what the exact nature of the lesson was.
Powering up when the time came the blond haired eternal stepped through the bedroom mirror, letting the feeling of water pass over him, as his heels clicked on the floor he called out. “Evening, Desiree said you had questions.” He spoke, smiling already, as he glanced over the other dark mirror senshi. “She didn’t tell me what the questions were.”

Leitner heard Melpomene before seeing him, the sound of heels and a familiar voice. “Hey, yeah… I found this thing?” Pulling out the odd crystal that he’d tripped over months back, he held it out towards Melpomene.
“Not sure what it is, but I tripped over it and hit the ground in here.” Simple enough, and he wasn’t surprised the mauvian had left things vague when talking to Melpomene. He didn’t like it, not one bit, but he also didn’t want to make a stink and have something blow back on Hedwig just because he was an idiot.

Reaching out to take the crystal he nodded his head, before handing it back, the blond took a moment to glance about as if he might spot another off crystal. “They appear at random, in various colors, the color indicates what it can be used for…loosely. More crystals of the same color, or combinations of various colors, can yield interesting results. I can’t say I’ve been the most active with the world building nature of the crystals but I’ve not been inactive either.” He just had no real reason to be so active. It wasn’t like anyone could live in mirrorspace and he didn’t see the point in it.
“I can show you the mirror scape and you might get a better idea of things. But take it each crystal corresponds to an element. Blue to water, red to fire, green to earth…so from green ones you can get grass or flowers, saplings, it makes sense. From red ones you can get heat…or fire or something similar. It’s not straight fire, as I said you can get heat instead.” Water that was warm rather than cool.
“Mirror scape is…like floating blank slates, islands floating in nothing ness, for us to do with as we please…based on the crystals we find and their randomness.” Already moving, motioning the other to follow him, he figured it would be best to show the other as well.

Taking the thing back, he stared at it for a moment before tucking it back away and listening. “World… building?” That did sound like something he would like. “Can… others get into whatever, like, little world thing you’re talking about?” Trying to play it off cool as he nodded and thought about the different colors and crystals they were mentioning.
“Yeah, I wanna see it, I really wanna see that…” Trying not to sound overly excited, he already wondered how he could set up a space of his own and toy around with magic that… maybe wasn’t trying to kill him or make him suffer. If he could maybe work with the tools he knew from work, then he could really get down to business on setting up a nice space for himself. He’d only ever seen other mirror senshi in here, so maybe it would be a nice place to stay away from that general and just get a moment to breathe.

“They have their own, you need to let them onto yours - they need to be with you. They can’t just hop over to yours.” Which made it more personal, more secure, he supposed but Melpomene really wasn’t invested in it. He had some grass and water on his little floating island and that was about it. He had been collecting special crystals, ones no one else seemed to have, but he’d been holding onto them so he could use them all at once and make something big.
“Alright, let’s head to mirrorscape then…you’ll have to lead the way from there though. I can’t get us to your place - you’ll need to.” But first they needed to get to the mirror that would lead them there a short walk, thankfully, because the only things that counted here were pretty easy and quick to get to. They needed to get to the citadel, and that was done via mirrorwalking, the mirror they needed was in the common room which while being a common room was undecorated. The fact it simply couldn't be decorated, due to things vanishing and reappearing in random places that were different every time, was a part of this whole place's boring white vastness. But the mirror in the room never moved, it stayed right where it was, and so Melpomene had no issue in getting them there.
“Alright, in we go and then, at the Citadel, it’ll be you leading me.” Taking the others arm and leading the way into the mirror.

“Okay then…” Nodding as he let them pull him along while explaining things, he noticed the continuing blahness of whitish grey everywhere. There wasn’t even dust or anything either, and as they passed through the mirror to wherever they were going, he wasn’t expecting the structure they came out in at all.
“Whoah.” Looking up before looking towards what looked like a mirror in the floor up ahead, he figured that must be the citadel. Well, this was crazy, but Melpomene was the nice one of the superpowered whatever he and Chalcanthite were. God, he wanted to say something, but he also didn’t want to die if Chalcanthite found out and yanked his soul out permanently.
So instead he shook his head and walked ahead, with Melpomene’s arm still in his. As he stepped in front of the floor mirror, he looked around again. “Uhhh super space mirror thing. I give permission for Melpomene to come to my pad?” Shrugging, he stepped forward and immediately felt his stomach give a small flip. Something about going down instead of forward did things he didn’t like to his inner ear, but he didn’t get too much time to think about that as he plopped into whitish grey dirt, face first. “Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh,” he groaned as he lay there for a moment.

“I really have not done much work here, I find mirrorspace bland at best, making a small floating island from scratch is not terribly entertaining for me. It’s a slow process and I don’t have the time to manage it, to cover the whole place in things.” because just covering it in grass would take so long; it was unreasonable. “I don’t know how some people manage it. But the island size grows as you rank up…since once you gain your wings - the island will expand.” How, or why, he didn’t understand. He knew there was a story behind the crystals, where they came from and how, but he wasn’t as familiar with it as he hadn’t been there. He knew someone who had been through, he knew a few people, and maybe he’d put the other in touch with one of them….maybe Kiuchi? He was easy enough to talk with, calm, and also an eternal who had been around for a good amount of time.
He wanted to laugh, at the others words but before he could they were being pulled along with the other. While they landed poorly the eternal had a better landing…though not the best. It wasn’t his first time though, on occasion his spouse convinced him to visit the mirrorscape and his island. “You’ll get used to it in time.” Offering a hand to help the other up.

Half-pushing himself up, he accepted Melpomene’s hand to get his balance and stand up fully afterward. While he could sort of understand what they were saying, he didn’t feel even remotely the same way. Bending down, he ran his fingers through the dirt and picked some of it up, shifting his hand and letting it sift through his fingers as he looked at it. It didn’t seem like ash; maybe regular dirt but magic regular dirt? Would something grow in it? Shaking his hand to get the rest of it off him, he looked over at Melpomene and those wings attached to their uniform. So there was the motivation for ranking up, and as he thought about it, did it take a lot of whatever energy the wraiths were gathering to make this place exist?
“So I won’t end up on my face next time?” Taking a few steps forward, gauging how hard the ground was, it had the same give as regular soil. “Okay, so like I get crystals, bring them here then, magic s**t?” Though if they didn’t do much, it seemed like he might not be asking the right person.
“Wait… who’s in charge of all this then?” He’d never really cared, but maybe it might be a good idea to know that now.

“You might next time but in time you won’t. Even Chalcanthite doesn’t now.” Shrugging as he spoke, smiling, at the other. “You have to break a crystal open and let it do its thing, you have no real say in how it’ll show its power. Fire can show itself in various ways - it's choice. But yeah you bring them here, this is the only place they’ll do things.” Moving to sit himself down on the ground he stared up at the other.
“Well, you own this bit of floating space. As for the whole place…I wouldn’t say there is any one owner - you are a court really. But you do have a prince, and there is from what I’ve heard a princess though she isn’t around, so the prince is the head of your court. Remarque…prince of the dark mirror court and senshi of puppetry. You could always talk to him or another eternal named Kiuchi. He’s been around long enough, he was around when this area came to be, there is a story behind here and the crystals and he would know. I believe he even works for Remarque.” And he was close to Acubens, same as he was, though she was busy being a mother to twins now; and a wife.
“The court is small. Some know each other well, not too tight knit but the knitting is there, others are not so close to the rest.” He was somewhere between.

So he’d need to come here more… Well, if he wouldn’t get attacked or bothered, then that was something he could handle; maybe he could convince Hedwig to look around with him for more crystals too. With Melpomene sitting down, he plopped down as well and pulled out his crystal to look at it again. He wasn’t going to mess with things now, not till he had more to work with, but it was neat to think the crystals did things.
“Remarque? Okay… So maybe ask him or that Kiuchi stuff if you don’t know it then?” It sounded like a cult, maybe, just a little bit, but whatever. It was something to work with, and if others couldn’t get in here, that meant it was relatively safe, he figured. “I think I have something to work with then. Thanks for helping with this.” He preferred Melpomene over Chalcanthite anyway, though he still didn’t get how the pair worked together. Maybe Melpomene was just too nice to notice their shitty husband.
“I’ll see about those two you mentioned, then look more for these things in the future.” Sending the crystal back away again, he’d try setting an alarm or something to make time to come here. Maybe he’d bring some things and see what grew, if anything, in the weird soil here too.

“Yes, those two can help. I’d say Acubens as well but she’s off being a mother to toddlers.” Which was no easy task, he knew what toddlers were like, he didn’t want to give her more things to do on top of being a mother and wife. He could handle this as well as suggest others to help where he couldn’t. “Kiuchi was around before I was…he’s the senshi of gorgons…pleasent senshi and soft spoken.” He was really not made for this war but he was made for this court, and only this court, as Melpomene was certain he wouldn’t have survived serving any other faction.
“You should go looking every time you’re here…they are random and can turn up anywhere.” Which meant it might take time exploring, and roaming, to find one. The only good thing was there was so little in mirrorspace they stood out, cause they were a spot of color.
“I would suggest collecting as many as you can before trying to use them. Some of them, when combined, do other things so you might want to do that as well…not just keep each color on its own or do one at a time. I’m working on a collection as well, then I’ll use them.” And see what happened, he might need his husband with him for that…they‘d like to see it he was sure.
