she lied a lie
of untold truth
a fear within her soul
the scaffold held
but just us two
and a stake
with hay and wood around
they tied her up with lengths of rope
and left her there in only a shift of white
her hair was ragged
as though the stress
had conquered
all beauty that could be fould
i stood next to her confuse and made
what had this girl done
to cause them to condemn her so
for things they didnt under stand
i found my self holding her as the flames they found her feet
and traveled up in searing pain
a scream to chill ones soul
they burned me that day for the crimes of a witch
they really just didnt understand
past lives
can be a pain in the neck
especially when you have been hanged
but the me of back then and the me of today
know truly what is the truth
see people like to remove what they dont understand
and they will
never understand me
