On the northern edge of the gardens, where the more ordered vegetation blends into wild woodland, there is an area where it appears that someone has attempted to create a little bit of order. There is a small shelter wreathed around with vines and flowering plants, with a small spring nearby that wells out of the earth and then tumbles back down through a stony place in the ground. The soil here is dark and loamy, good for growing things. The area is quiet except for birdsong and the rustle of leaves. Occasionally, a nymph can be seen here, or nearby...

Once in a while, a small and shadowy human figure can be seen in and around the shelter. The boy can't possibly be older than twelve, and always wears a hooded cloak. The garden is tidier after he has visited.

Devil swung back down into the hollow of his nest easily. He hadn't gone far, only to the river to get water for himself; but he was paranoid now. He'd tied Sage more securely this time, but the younger nymph was clever, and he wouldn't put it past the gentle purple boy to have squirmed out of his bonds again.
Actually, that wasn't always bad. He did like to chase. And Sage's repeated attempts to escape had brought Devil's estimation of his prey up a notch. This one was fun. He'd keep him a bit longer, at the least.
He checked to see that the bindings still held, humming cheerfully.

Sage had been struggling since he'd woken. The hand on him brought about a stronger version of the response.
His usually warm purple skin was a bit duller and he looked wan. Being tied up and forced to be still did not agree with him.
Soon he'd try yelling for help. It wasn't likely anyone woudl really hear him, but it was better than just laying there like this.

"Have you not been drinking?" Devil chided. "You'll lose your shine that way, and that would be such a pity." His wings fluttered slightly, fanning a faint gust of air across Sage. He crouched to look more closely at the other nymph and see if the confinement was truly harming him.

Sage didn't reply, rather just kept trying to get loose. He tried to wriggle into a good possition to kick at him.
His hair was mostly covering his face as he moved, some of the irridecence seemed to have faded.
Finally he stilled a bit to catch his breath, ready to yell.

"Poor little thing," Devil said. "Perhaps I should let you run loose for a while. It wouldn't do to lose that beautiful shine," he mused, and twined a lock of Sage's hair between his fingers. Almost absently, he shifted to avoid Sage's feet.
Picking up the waterskin, he brushed Sage's hair away from the nape of his neck and dripped water slowly onto the skin there, little cold drops, one by one. "Flowers wilt if not cared for," he scolded himself.
