Okay, I had a few questions regarding acne, especially while on T. I currently am not on T and probably won't be for years (much to my dismay Dx). I get one or two zits of my face from time to time, but nothing big. But I have acne problems when it comes to my back. If I get on T, will this make the acne problem significantly worse for me?
Also, if anyone has any tips for getting rid of stubborn acne that is relatively cheap, I'd love to know about them. I'm currently using pure witch hazel. sweatdrop

[It's different for everybody. I've always just kind of had acne, not horribly but enough to be annoying, it really hasn't gotten worse since T, I'd say it's pretty much the same. I'm not really sure what to use to get rid of it though.]

When I have something really stubborn, I use this. . . blemish be gone stuff. *rummages through drugstore.com to find it* Here. It's called Bye Bye Blemish, apparently. sweatdrop It smells horrible. . . a very strong sulfur-esque smell, so I wouldn't recommend it on your face, but it dries up all sorts of stubborn pimples overnight. It's a miracle.

Thanks for the advice. I'm glad to know it might not be all too much worse, and I'll be sure to look into that stuff to get rid of what I do have.

I'm not on T, but I get a bit of acne anyway. Wash regularly. I'm told it's better to use a special face wash than ordinary soap, since normal soap dries out your skin. Oh, and tea tree oil is good for spots, it can work wonders.
Of course, if it's really bad acne, there's special superstrength cream you can get prescribed by your doctor.

This stuff works wonders, too. The smell is, likewise with that I recommended, overpowering if used on large areas or in places that are poorly ventilated. ^^; Spatterdash Of course, if it's really bad acne, there's special superstrength cream you can get prescribed by your doctor. And I've been to a doctor about skin problems [[I get them really bad around that "special" time of the month stare ]] and the cream I got worked just about as well as any maximum strength cream you can buy over the counter for a fraction of the price.

What was it? Retinol? I had really stubborn acne that nothing worked on and my doctor tried that at first ('cause she had to take certain steps), but after it didn't work she gave me Differin (I think I butchered that spelling), and it cleared up fast and stayed gone. It's more concentrated stuff and it can dry your skin out really bad, so you have to moisturize your skin if you use it.

How badly can it dry out skin? Are we talking painful dry? With cracking, etc? Because I'm already very used to my skin being dry, due to the climate where I live.

Not painfully dry, but without proper cleansing and moisturizing, the skin can flake up very noticeably and after a while that flaking can leave raw spots. It's a good idea to apply a water-based moisturizer once in the morning and once again either in the afternoon or before bed, just to be on the safe side.

I hardly ever got zits until I turned thirty. I was at about 1-2 a week until I went on T. I now have to monitor constantly for new zits forming as i get clusters. My hair is much greasier too and showering once a day isn't enough. O.o

I got such bad acne at first, but it goes away after a while.
Also, I use something from CVS which is just their version of brand-name oil-free acne wash. It works amazingly well.

I'll probably have horrific acne when I'm on T, so i'm going to start taking acctutane before hand to stave off what I can. D:
